Rated 5 out of 5Â by DIYtype Overall, a great tool. Glad I own it.
I am baffled by the negative reviews on this product. I have used this tool regularly for several years in every conceivable DIY application without any difficulty or malfunction. It has seen well over 1000 rivets in 1/8 & 5/32, both aluminum and steel (not stainless) and does an excellent job joining all manner of thin gauge metal, including steel studs, duct work, downspouts, brackets, etc. as well as dissimilar sheet materials from PVC to leather. On board interchangeable parts are secure and convenient. The only improvement I would like to see is an indexed lock mechanism on the swivel head, as squeezing the handle with the head turned sideways can be awkward and require a second hand to keep the rivet tight against the material being fastened. Overall, a great tool, with which I have been very pleased.

used the arrow rht 300 for about 6 months and the jaws will no longer grab the rivet shaft.

Purchased the RHT 300 swivel head rivet gun. When I went to use the gun the rivets would not hold and the gun would not snap the rivets. Called customer service and was advised to use only Aluminum rivets not STEEL. I was told it is on the box to not use STEEL rivets in fine print. Way to go ARROW.... you stumped the customer. I am returning my gun and will never buy Arrow again.

I just purchase this tool and made one rivet connection and the tool will not eject the rivet shaft you literally have to dig them out by pushing it out with a coat hanger. This is unacceptable!

I have had several cheap rivet tools and decided to spend a little more and get a better one. Mistake! This thing did not last as long as the cheap ones before the guts stripped out of it. It will not grip the rivet any more. Probably less than 100 rivets and ready for the trash. So much or "quality".
