Answer:
Door opening on the Arrow 6' X 8' metal shed that I own is 43.7" wide and 64" high from the 3/4" thick wooden floor. Opening height will be slightly more if you do not use the floor frame kit or flooring. Mounting the building on a slab will yield a fraction of an inch more.

Answer:
Yes, flooring is separate.
You would need to build a wood platform or pour a concrete slab. Arrow does have a Flooring Kit(FB106-A) available also.

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bought Wrong Shed It seems there are many variations of the shed. Be careful that you understand the height. Bought the Newburgh and knew that it had a low entry height. But did not realize my reaction to low height when complete. Had to jack up shed and put 4" x 6" footer underneath. Consider higher version unless you are very short. Kit was well designed; instructions excellent. Two people are needed to build. Very important to keep base square for holes to line up. Manual estimated six hours. Good estimate. May 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The jury is still out... This shed is a good option for the price. Not all the holes lined up quite right during assembly, and I'm afraid it will rust quickly (now that I have one, I've noticed others around town that have a lot of rust). I was afraid it would be flimsy, but once assembly was complete I was surprised at how sturdy it seems. The manual was right - it took MANY hours (let me stress MANY!) to assemble with two people. It wasn't difficult, just extremely time consuming. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and hope to get a lot of use from my shed. October 23, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by does what i need arrived in excellent condition, trucker was helpful in moving it to top of driveway for me. a ton of screws, be careful to set your drill on a low torque setting to not strip screws. Directions say to square bottom but Not to attach to flooring, I suggest to attach with two or three screws or nails not fully set, otherwise base will move and you are always re-square it. Screws line up fine if you follow directions and base REMAINS square. A solid full day setup with two people after floor or base is made. No leaks, solid for my needs. Sun will increase temp inside quickly, (I'm in FL) I will look to insulate inside roof. but being metal no worry of bug problem. December 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Newburgh 8 Ft. x 6 Ft. Storage Building I love this Newburgh 8 Ft. x 6 Ft. Storage Building because, its in plastic like form, it is big enough to store outdoor play toys, appliances, garden tools, lawn machines, power tools, work out machines, and if my dog is being bad I can put him/her in the backyard and when it rains or snow he/she can leave their doghouse to a bigger doghouse lol. That last line was just a joke I would never put my dog outside when he/she can stay inside with daddy. But anyways, its not too big or not too small its just right for me and for whomever has taste in products like me!! January 7, 2010
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by shed is too short I bought the same shed from the same manufacturer 10 years ago. Last summer the old shed was damaged in a storm. I decided to replace it in kind. To my great disappointment I discovered that the manufacturer has reduced the height of the shed by about 6 inches. I can only assume this was done as a cost saving measure to keep the shed price down, however the head height in the shed is too low for a person of average height. I blame myself for assuming that the same product ordered from the same manufacturer will be the same 10 years later. December 11, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Shed Had a guy put this up for me and I am very satisfied. I got the cable and anchors from the company directly to make it more secure. Put a floor down and secured the shed to the floor. Just went through some heavy storms and it is still in place and nice and dry inside. November 19, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Go Slow The actual process is pretty simple. BUT, you have to read the directions carefully and follow them precisely. If you don't you will end up redoing some of it and that can be difficult. I did not purchase the base, but set mine on 4x4's which I anchored into the ground (2 on each side) with 16" pieces of 1/4 inch rebar. It's solid as a rock!!! June 11, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by storage shed This storage shed has worked out really well for us. When opened the box it looked like it would take forever to put together not so. The job was not that bad about 5 hours to finish the job. Would buy another if needed. May 1, 2011
