Disassemble and move??

May need to move in a year and would want to take this shed, is it possible to disassemble it later without messing it up?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, I disassembled and moved my shed. I removed the roof and split that in 2. I split the walls at each corner but left the walls assembled - so I had 4 wall panels and 2 roof panels to transport. Reassembly was easy and I did it by myself, I reused most of the original hardware but used pop rivets in some places since that was quicker.

Is everything included in the box or are there additional things/parts I have to buy??

I am wondering if this is all inclusive. Are there other pieces or materials I need to buy to put this together??
Asked by: Anonymous
Everything is with the kit. We used pallets and recycled plywood, And sealed inside to keep the moisture out. So it depends on how you want your floor, But yes everything comes with it but the wood or the fondation you set it on

can u put a lock on this shed?

Asked by: Anonymous
Yes. The door handles are set up so that you can lock them together. They will not stop someone that is determined to get into your shed. But they will end up making a lot of noise doing it.

Need to prop up walls during assembly but not difficult. Duct taping a small wrench to nut on backside will allow one person to assemble. These sheds haven't changed much over the years. Still hundreds of screws, nut's & bolts. It is strong but only after all the hardware is in-place. Take care assembling the roof, if you lean on any part of this shed, you will dent the sheet metal - badly. Make sure that packaging box is in good condition before leaving store. It is a good value as compared with other types of sheds. Comes in a single box. Very heavy. Only negative - Could have additional venting to keep it cooler on sunny days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Shed, Easy to install, plan a day or two, FOLLOW EVERY direction and Notes OK I bought this Shed to store things from inside the house. I am a 60 year old man with COPD so I recruited the help of my Step-daughter as she works harder and follows direction more then anyone else available. I only mention this because while we were slow at this care should be taken to read the direction book front to back BEFORE you start to build. They are very detailed in the method in which to build this, and we found that doing exactly what was outlined and when it was told to do it was the very best was to do it.( I tried to consolidate a few steps and ended up having to go back and do them in order). The NUMBER ONE RULE is make sure it a perfectly SQUARE. I was off by 1/8 inch to start and quickly found that if I had taken a little more time to get it square I would have saved a ton of time trying to line up holes, I ended up going back and making it square and all went well. But I love the shed and was very impressed with the exactness of the pre-drilled holes and parts alignment because when it is square and level it all lines up exactly as it should. Might just buy another one, My wife is a collector, let me tell you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good shed for the price I see where some have had problems with assembly, and complain about how flimsy it is. I have put 8 of these same sheds together as far back as 1980 when Sears was selling them. They have all stood up to a lot of wind. I always had two of them, I have moved and I am putting two up again. When I assemble them, I put a bead of clear RTV along every edge as I am putting it together. It will NEVER come lose or apart even if the screws come out. And it will NEVER leak from the top or sides. I also have a new shed that is 10x20 I got from a shed place and it was $4,000 assembled in place.

In terms of building the shed, I would suggest that the builder be patient and follow the instructions to the letter. It is imperative that you read the instructions and look at the illustrations several times before beginning the build. While the instructions are fairly straight forward to understand and implement, there are several key steps to double check before proceeding (pay attention to the "Notes" and enlarged inset illustrations in particular). I would not recommend that you build on expectation or instinct alone. This is a two person project. The kit comes with plenty extra screws, bolts, nuts and washers so that you don't have to go retrieve every dropped item while building. However, in my case, the kit was short on the foil weather stripping by at least a foot (I didn't over apply or cut extra tape at any point in the build). This was frustrating because I had to stop working and run down to Home Depot to buy a roll of foil tape to complete the job. All the pieces fit together, but expect to "massage" some pieces into place because of the inherent "slop" in the design. Once complete, the shed is sturdy, although it is easily dented if you are not careful. I expect the shed to last for a long time. Before I started to put the shed together, I called customer service with some basic questions. They were friendly and helpful. I started with a wood foundation levelled with concrete blocks as suggested in the instructions. I knew I got it right when I hung the doors, and they closed perfectly the first time. The shed is anchored to the floor with wood screws and to the ground with an Arrow anchor kit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LOVE MY NEW SHED I have needed a shed for awhile now and carefully reviewed the ones available for my needs. I chose this one because of the price and it's appearance. It will hold all I need and fits well into the landscape. It took 2 men about 5 hours to complete after the foundation was secured; and it was simple and easy. Looks great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! After messing with another Big Box Store that couldnt even help find us a shed after we called and placed it on hold. We found it on Home Depot's Mobile app and was able to comfirm that indeed that the store had it in stock. The app had it for $318.00 which we were happy about because the other one we were going purchace was $30 more. Read the reviews on the app on the way to the store and was pleasently suprised to find out that lots of people LOVED this product. We get to the store to puchace it and is even less that the app said it was!!!! $279 out the door we go! We just spent the afternoon and evening building it and couldnt be happier with our purchace!! I do recomend that you don't tackle this project on your own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great storage shed for the price. I live in Ocala Florida and I obtained a permit from the city for it. That action allowed the manufacturer to send me the reinforcement kit. This kit took this shed from good to excellent! This thing is SOLID with this kit, I placed it on a concrete slab and anchored it. I am extremely pleased with the purchase. I recommend going to the company's website and downloading the PDF of the assembly instructions prior to purchase. Study them a couple times to determine if you feel comfortable to assemble, if so go for it! There is a lot of assembly and if your not used to putting things together you may be frustrated. The company's help line is great I called them a few times to ask questions and found them to be very knowledgeable, kind, and willing to explain. Lisa H. helped me. I also watched a couple video's on YouTube. With some thought and planning this is a breeze to do. I've read some of the reviews and thought maybe they did not plan the purchase. I also caulked it in some places as another reviewer suggested. You'll see in the pictures I used the supplied reinforcement kit and a lot of the standard stuff as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value Overall, this shed was worth the money, especially considering how cheap it was. You just buy the plywood(for the floor) seperately. One thing people should know is that the floor space is not actually 10x8. 10x8 is the outside dimensions of the roof, which is obviously a bit larger. The only inconvenience you'll find with this is that it involves a bit more plywood cuts.. which isn't really that big of a deal. You get a couple of pieces of good, decorative size plywood for your wife's cute little project she's been wanting to do! But seriously, I think floor dimensions should be displayed more vividly in both the "item title", and on the store packaging. It could really upset someone wanting to store something just under 8' when they just spent 6 hours building a shed and now their idea won't work. I'm fortunate that didn't happen to me! The directions could stand to have a couple steps improved. But all in all, this is a good bargain.
