Customer Questions & Answers

How much time does it take to assemble?

The research I have found on this shed is conflicting. Some say it is a two day project. Others say it is a one day project. All say it requires two people for at least part of the time. Does the manufacturer have a general assembly time they predict?

Is this shed water proof? Can I store papers in the shed

If you carefully fitted a heavy-duty green tarp across the top, it would never leak. I keep animal feed in mine, and have no problems.

I'm pretty sure we could have built one out of tinfoil and it would have bent less. There are an unreal amount of steps for such a flimsy shed it was flattened several times along the way and then poof, the wind picked it up and dropped it a football field away. We won't be bothering to replace.

Inexpensive compared to others, it is what it is. I "hired" a handyman with 30 years building experience (so he said). 3 days, beer & bandaids provided, he moved...and left me with a bent up, incorrectly assembled shed. This 67 year old lady "re-built" it, and with the help of my son it was finished in no time! So it's bent up here and there, so it's not very pretty, it serves my purpose just fine. I called the company for missing parts (they weren't - the handyman just didn't read the directions) - and Arrow was so nice and helpful.

While the value of the shed is great at just over $230 (including tax), the time it takes to build is misleading (the demo video implies 4 hours). Most people won't have a well lit, empty warehouse to spread out all the parts and work freely, so expect to spend an entire day working on this thing from start to finish with a couple breaks. Instructions are incomplete in some areas and the pictures do not always provide enough detail, so be prepared to do some rework throughout the process. You'll also want to use magnetic drill bits because the tiny little screws and washers will easily fall off a normal bit multiple times throughout the process making it very nerve racking, especially in tight quarters. The nut sizes are also not standard, so you'll need a smaller adjustable wrench to tighten these as you work. You'll also want to keep an extra band aid or two around since the metal edges can cut you if you're not careful. Can't beat the value though, once you finally get it built...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Patience Helps with Install I never write reviews but after building the shed and reading all the negative reviews I thought heck, I have time. I highly recommend using a drill but make sure it is on the lowest torque setting. After building a simple base out of plywood and 2x3s my wife and I tore into the box. Was also a bit breezy but we went for it. We spent about 1.5 hours assembling the walls with no issues, then I left for work and it sat overnight. I had the next day off and tackled the rest of it from 8am to 2 pm by myself. Believe in the instructions and be patient. I ran into only 2 issues. When putting on the top side rail I put a screw in the wrong hole. No biggie there was a proper hole right next to it which I switched later. The other I ran into was the bottom row of holes on one of the roof panels did not allign with the rail. Well the rest of the shed looked right and sturdy so 10 self tapping screws later and it was done! Great finished product and I enjoyed the challenge of putting it together. I live in the mountains and it holds up to rain, snow, and wind.

It took my husband and I about 7-8 hours to put this together. The instructions were clear and the pre-drilled holes mostly lined up, which was really nice. You do not want any wind when assembling.

This Shed did not meet my expectations and I would never recommend an Arrow Shed! This is not the Arrow shed of old where the Aluminum Shed of old could stand the test of time. I erected the foundation, and the four walls, but before I could get the roof on the weather changed. But not to the degree that left this Shed a mangled mess. A friend who came by couldn't have explained it better when he said it look like a big hand reached out of the sky and just crushed it. Fortunately the manager at a local Home Depot store offered me a refund upon the return of the Arrow shed purchased less that 3-weeks before. I immediately returned the arrow (aluminum foil shed) for a full refund, took the monies from the refund and added additional monies to purchase the Sun Cast 7X7 shed. I was able to erect the new Shed in just a couple of days. So after purchasing my new Sun Cast Composite Shed including the foundation built to support it. Despite some pretty severe weather the new shed has stood with no problems or issues. I will never Recommend Now will I ever purchase an Arrow item , shed etc;. I will come back to add photos of the Arrow Shed to this review at a later time to show if I am able to update with photos.
