Questions & Answers

How much time does it take to assemble?

The research I have found on this shed is conflicting. Some say it is a two day project. Others say it is a one day project. All say it requires two people for at least part of the time. Does the manufacturer have a general assembly time they predict?

Inexpensive compared to others, it is what it is. I "hired" a handyman with 30 years building experience (so he said). 3 days, beer & bandaids provided, he moved...and left me with a bent up, incorrectly assembled shed. This 67 year old lady "re-built" it, and with the help of my son it was finished in no time! So it's bent up here and there, so it's not very pretty, it serves my purpose just fine. I called the company for missing parts (they weren't - the handyman just didn't read the directions) - and Arrow was so nice and helpful.

A smaller shed would have worked better with the space I had but I just couldn't justify spending almost $200 for a shed that is smaller. Very happy with this shed though. It blocks my trash cans from sight when in the backyard and the extra space is awesome. I did not know it came with the floor kit so that was a nice surprise. Having assembled one of these in the past I already knew what was in store. It really isn't too bad if you take your time to think it through and understand what step you are on. I would set aside at least 6 hours to get this project done if you are good at putting things together. I was able to assemble almost everything on my own only needing the wife's help twice at just five minutes each time. When finishing the roof along the edges where you screw the roof into the top of the walls, some of the holes were off almost a half inch (probably due to my error) was too far to try to pull the pieces together but I just drilled a couple new pilot holes and everything worked fine. Cutting the ply wood for the floor was super easy the instruction say exactly what to measure and cut there is no guessing what so ever. The plywood was an extra $20 a sheet and you will need 2 sheets. Plus some dry wall screws. After tax plan on spending an extra $50 to get the floor done.

This Shed did not meet my expectations and I would never recommend an Arrow Shed! This is not the Arrow shed of old where the Aluminum Shed of old could stand the test of time. I erected the foundation, and the four walls, but before I could get the roof on the weather changed. But not to the degree that left this Shed a mangled mess. A friend who came by couldn't have explained it better when he said it look like a big hand reached out of the sky and just crushed it. Fortunately the manager at a local Home Depot store offered me a refund upon the return of the Arrow shed purchased less that 3-weeks before. I immediately returned the arrow (aluminum foil shed) for a full refund, took the monies from the refund and added additional monies to purchase the Sun Cast 7X7 shed. I was able to erect the new Shed in just a couple of days. So after purchasing my new Sun Cast Composite Shed including the foundation built to support it. Despite some pretty severe weather the new shed has stood with no problems or issues. I will never Recommend Now will I ever purchase an Arrow item , shed etc;. I will come back to add photos of the Arrow Shed to this review at a later time to show if I am able to update with photos.

I'm pretty sure we could have built one out of tinfoil and it would have bent less. There are an unreal amount of steps for such a flimsy shed it was flattened several times along the way and then poof, the wind picked it up and dropped it a football field away. We won't be bothering to replace.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surprisingly sturdy Initially, I was skeptical about the durability of such a low cost metal shed. While I built it (the assembly instructions are very good btw), it started to become clear that the design makes it structurally really strong. Needless to say that a battery operated drill makes it much faster. It took me probably about 12 uninterrupted hours to assemble it. I was also thankful for the floor frame which I used and put in the recommended wood floor. Given the weight of the wood, I feel comfortable that I do not have to anchor it to concrete driveway, located in Northern Cali (let me know if you disagree). I definitely recommend the product and am very happy so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little shed! This is a great little shed for the money! Very easy to put together. I put it together by myself. My ground was far from level so I had to get a little creative with concrete blocks. The directions were very simple with pictures and 'parts needed' for each section clearly stated. All parts are numbered. Lots of extra screws, nuts, bolts & washers too. There are some nice grooves inside the wall for you to run the cable to anchor it and building the floor was also pretty easy. The frame is included. My shed has been up for some months now and been thru some windy, wet & snowy weather with no problems at all. I highly recommend it for anyone that needs that little bit of extra space.

I am using it for a tool shed on the end of my carport, work bench and tool box fit perfect along with all my other tools. as of durability, I have only had this 2 weeks and hope to get many years out of it.

Shipping was expensive and a pain to schedule with the 3rd party delivery company...all because they didn't offer to ship to the store. Putting it together was torture. The predrilled holes were not the proper size for the screw/bolts provided so it took a lot longer than it should have. They should have used self tapping screws. We had a bigger size of this same brand of shed at a previous house and I don't recall having these issues. The shed looks nice and was less expensive than some alternatives, but what a pain!
