Will Home Depot install this shed for me without a concrete slab I'd like it in my backyard.

Asked by: KristinE
Arrow sells the unit as a "Do-It-Yourself" assembly. You would need to check with your local Home Depot to see if they offer this service

As with a lot of other reviews, some of the holes did not match for the screws. I had to drill and tap. I built my own flooring from 2x6 and plywood. When we assembled the floor frame, the factory shorted by 8 inches. We double checked the floor and it was on the money. So, what I ended up with was a 10 ft by 13.4 building. Invest in good caulking. After I had assembled mine, we had one of those nice gulf coast storms....the roof leaked.....even with the tape.....invest in more washers....I ran out. Had to go buy some. I caulked all of the floor frame and joints....I suggest you do the same. I used good deck screws to secure the building to the flooring.

Make sure you have extra batteries charged for your drills, and for God's sake, use a square on the corners or your roof panels are going to be off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from FUN IN THE SUN Product was delivered in one very large package and all parts included. Project was completed during summer in Phoenix, AZ. Our crew consisted of 1 guy and 3 girls with the oldest being 62 yrs old. I purchased a new Makita screw driver/ drill and it worked wonderfully for us. The installation overall was not bad except that some of the holes did not line up. I contacted the manufacturer, got a live person, and she did try to work with me. Overall the hardest part was working on the center top. The weather stripping they include needs a lot to be desired and as suggested, we did use caulking. I'm glad we purchased the model with the floor, it made it easier for us and as you can see by the pics, it's my favorite color orange. I particularly like the height. So far no-one has to duck while walking around in the shed. Another great feature is the double doors. For me, they are easy to open and close and with the additional ramp that my husband made, I have no problems moving items in and out. I wanted a shed that was nice looking, easy to move around in, and keep my items dry. After 6 months I am happy to say that the Sheridan fits all of the above with the exception of vents. As pictured, the vents were done by my husband.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not too bad of a deal Once I identified the pieces according to the instruction manual, putting this together was not that hard. I actually put the body of it together by myself, except for when my 4 year old wanted to help. Putting the roof on is really a two person job. This was the only part of the entire process that I could not do by myself. I do recommend wearing gloves because some of the ends are sharp. One thing that I was not expecting was the low clearance at the entrance. My wife is short but she has to duck when entering the shed. Also, when it rains, the open bends on the roof are fully covered and water does get in. I had to fill it in with caulking along with some of the places where screws are located.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice shed other tan putting a ton of screws together the shed becomes stronger as you go, just make sure you start on a level surface or you might have problems , i used a pressure treated wood base that worked perfect, took two people about a full day to put together

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shed I had one of these sheds and it held up all through Hurricane Katrina, right up until I cut the broken limb off of a live oak and it fell right on the shed. Held that live oak limb off of my mower and pressure washer inside but destroyed the roof. I'm getting ready to buy my second one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product (Sheridan 10 x 14 Vinyl Storage Bulding) I would give the Sheridan Storage Building a very good rating. This product was well worth the price. I am very pleased with the quality. It takes several hours to put together, but it was packed very well. The parts were labeled well and easy to find, they were packed in the order that they were needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The shed itself is very nice, & I have no complaints about its design or how it functions at all. The best advice I could give ANYONE about this shed is to spend money on having professionals assemble it. If you DO try it yourself, do yourself 2 huge favors: 1st, understand that the diagrams in the instruction manual are often unclear as to exactly what the parts look like, & at what position they're supposed to be installed (the phrase "as shown" is used a lot, but isn't too much help), & 2nd, read the instructions very carefully, once before you start, & then twice at every step, paying very close attention to the parts involved. The other reviewers seem to have had a glorious, easy, short time with their assemblies. That wasn't my experience at all, and I'm not a small or stupid person at all. But I do like my shed; the manual is the only thing making my review a 4 instead of a 5.
