Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice size stapler The Tac Mate stapler works very good for small projects. I love that it uses the t50 staples, as they are very easy to find. Great tool! May 17, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product is exactly what I was looking for. I bought this staple gun for a community project and needed it to be safe, and easy to load and handle. I am very pleased with it. April 1, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sturdy and Effective The Arrow Tac Mate Heavy Duty Fastener is a sturdy staple gun that effectively puts staples where you need 'em. I've tested it on 2x4s and also on trees, the two places I'll probably use it most, and have had no problems. The staples haven't jammed, and loading them is easy. My only criticism is that it's difficult to squeeze the handle far enough for it to eject a staple, so Arrow's claims that "The compact design and precision make it easy to use one-handed" and it's "great for all home projects, women, and do-it-yourselfers [sic]" is slightly optimistic. Using two hands to squeeze the handle or moving your hand further back from the pivot point are both options to make use of the staple gun easier. It's also nice that the Tac Mate holds four (4) sizes of staples: 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 1/2". January 6, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gets the job done I bought this to reupholster a bench and it worked great. March 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great update to a reliable product I have been using this specific product on the job for some time now and I have been borrowing my father's all metal Arrow stapler for projects of my own. I liked this product so much, and have appreciated the reliability of my father's Arrow stapler, that I decided to go out and buy one of these staplers for myself. I love the update in the colors and with the rubber handle it is much more ergonomic than the all metal stapler that I grew up with. The pull is not so much that it is tiring after a full day of use and this product has been as trustworthy and as durable as my father's Arrow stapler. Great product and an excellent addition to a tool kit. December 31, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst stapler ever Bought in store after seeing it was well rated. I must have gotten a bad unit. Frequently doubles up on staples and even when not, fails to properly sink the staples. Trying to tack carpet to a cat tree that I am building and can't get it to staple into the plywood enough to hold the carpet. Can pull them out by hand. It really is sad. Anyhow, was looking at ratings before buying a different unit and felt compelled to let everyone know that I had a much different experience with this unit. May 10, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Starter stapler This stapler is small enough and the trigger is easy enough for most around the house projects and for small hands like mine. However, I agree 1/2 inch staples don't quite fire with enough power on wood. March 8, 2015
