How do additional rods connect to the 10 ft. piece?

This rod will span the length of a wall which is 13'6". How many additional lengths do I need to order? (2-2 ft lengths? Or 1-4 ft. length?) Where do I place this order? How do the additional lengths connect to the 10-ft rod?

Hello and thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. This rod can be purchased in 2 feet increments and trimmed down if possible. The order may be placed on the Home Depot site, or by contacting a Customer Service Representative at 1800-430-3376. The additional lengths can be added by inserting the connecting tubes into each other. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you for shopping Home Depot.

Muskoka 10 ft. Non-Telescoping Curtain Rod in Antique Silver is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Product looks and installed nicely. Videos helped immensely. The only draw back was the piece that joins the two poles together is cheaply made. After I cut a 12 inch section of an old mop handle and glued it to join the two sections together than it worked great. That's why it got 4 star instead of 5.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice curtain rod It's very hard to find non telescoping rods and this one fit the bill. It looks great with my grommet patio curtains. I like the finish, but I hated the finials. They were big, bulky, and different in color than the rod. I chose not to use them. Overall, a very good choice.

However extended over a 10ft window the rod sags badly in the middle, particularly at the joint. It's a shoddy product, particularly bad for $50. Get 1 piece next time

This 8 ft rod came in one piece so there was no connecting point or bump to snag our grommet style curtains. It's a light weight but sturdy metal rod that looks very nice. We hung it over our patio door that's approximately 6 ft wide and even though the rod was a little too wide, we decided to leave it at it's original length rather than trimming it down since the extra length didn't bother us. There were no installation instructions included in the packaging but we found some on Home Depot's website under Info/Assembly on the product page. The instructions include directions on how to trim down the rod with a hack saw or pipe cutter if you need it to be shorter. The 8 ft length came with 3 brackets and we chose to install the middle support bracket in case we hang heavier curtains in the winter, but it seems sturdy enough to hold our lighter blackout curtains without sagging even if the middle bracket wasn't there. The finials screw into plastic plugs at the ends of the rods and look very nice and should be easy to unscrew if we need to change or wash the curtains later.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One pole looks great! I was looking for a solution to the telescoping rod -- I didn't like the look of the skinny part in the middle of our large bow window. This rod came in 2 pieces (I thought it would be one!) but they fit together with a hidden metal piece. My husband cut a few inches off of each end to make a custom fit! Worth the money -- looks nice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect NON-telescoping rod I really wanted a nontelescoping rod and this one was perfect. Can't beat the price. Looks just as good as another one in our home that was WAY more expensive. Honestly can't tell a difference between the two.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good not Great For the Price The look of the rod and finials is great once it's up. It's large and looks like an expensive piece, and it's nice that it's not too heavy. My only complaint is that the finials are really difficult to put on. They don't screw on like you might inspect and instead have plastic ends that really seem too large to fit into the ends of the pole. After both my husband and I had tried with all our strength to get them attached (which resulted in breaking one of the finials off of the plastic, so we had to hot glue it on), we ended up having to use a mallet to force them in. Also, note that the finials are made of resin (basically plastic), but they look like metal when they're up high. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase given how expensive these are everywhere else I looked.
