Answer:
Artscape window films can be applied to any smooth non-textured surface such as glass or plexi-glass. Applying our film to a wall could be problematic if there is any texturing on the wall, in addition the film will appear very dark without light coming from the other side.

Answer:
Although you cannot see through this magnolia pattern, film does not provide complete privacy. That is to say, if someone is in your bathroom, their shadowy image will be visible to someone on the other side of the window. Hope this helps. I am quite happy with my windows.

Answer:
Shadows can be discernible from the outside at night with the lights on, and the closer to the window the more discernible the object. I think it's interesting that a contractor/architect would put a window right there!

Answer:
Ive the same pattern on a west facing window, which gets a lot of sunlight after 12 in the afternoon. The film cuts back on the bright light that would be normal and only some of the heat. I would say you get (the magnolia pattern) 35% less heat.

Answer:
I would imagine the strength of the magnolia pattern will in fact block some of the light that filters through, but I would not depend on it blocking any harmful rays or heat from the setting sun. I would not suggest you install this pattern on any window you want to see out of.

Answer:
Our films block between 80% to 95% of UV light, although we do not have exact percentages as to how much light will be blocked I can say from experience that when you use a darker pattern like Magnolia it substantially cuts down on the amount of light allowed in.

Answer:
Ive had this film on my window since 2002 and I only had to prep the window, i.e. clean and dry, and peel and stick. The trick was to get the design lined up. It took 4 rolls of product to maintain the line of the design. I think it stays in place by force of static cling.

Complete instructions are included. I also viewed it on YouTube. I would recommend NOT purchasing the kit, all you need is a squeegee, a spray bottle with lightly soaped water, a measuring device and a very sharp utility knife.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 109 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful look and easy to apply I have East and West facing windows over my doors, this window film was easy to apply and lets just enough sunlight in. April 24, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Problems develop after 7 years installed This product has a limited life span. I installed it about 7 years ago. Over that time, the film hardened and started to show signs of cracking. The damage occurred scattered throughout the whole area. When I decided to replace the film, it was very difficult to remove. The film would not peel off easily. I had to remove it with a razor blade scrapper. During the removal process, the scrapping produced hundreds of small film particles, which was very messy. This product is made from vinyl and becomes brittle over time. May 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful, but... Yes, I would recommend this product, HOWEVER, be sure to Open the Package and Inspect for burrs, smears and/or tears. I purchased two sheets. One was perfect, the other was not. I didn't notice the bad area until after it had been installed. By then, it was too late. The person who installed it was only here for the day and I can never have it replaced. I cannot do it myself. I'm hoping HD will offer me a rebate due to the damage to the one sheet. I will include photos. December 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Decorative window film This magnolia window film was used on a bathroom window that gets the morning sun...amazing how much color now comes in to that small bathroom because of that window film...if you have a window that needs a little something this product line may be right for you. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy application, instant character to the home! Extremely easy application. Love that is doesn't leave a residue on the window. I was worried it might look tacky, but it looks beautiful and unique! A bit pricy buy worth the added character to the house. March 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gorgeous! Just got one roll when I should have gotten two. My fault for not measuring window. But I cut it in half and used that one roll on both windows where I could get more privacy. I will buy another roll to cover the rest of the windows. This film was so easy to apply, thick paper, not thing, and very rich looking colors. You can't see in or out, perfect for my apartment and gives me just the right light so it's not too dark. Makes the bedroom look so beautiful. I purchased the Harbor View headboard at the same time, so it all fits so beautifully together. Very happy with this purchase. Just wish there was more to the roll. March 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AMAZING I placed this product on my west facing window in 2002. Now, in 2016 I need to replace it. Once I placed this film on my prepped window I was very pleased with the effects. It has lasted a really long time and I will continue to purchase this product March 4, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by WAYYYYY Expensive! I have a few windows that I really didn't want to cover with curtains, so I decided to go this route. I love the product itself, but it does NOT cover two parts of a sash window. To do both the top and the bottom of a 20" x 20" double sash window is about $42. That's pretty freakin' expensive. It also "shrinks" a good 1/4 of an inch once removed from the paper backing, so give yourself some wiggle room. It also does not trim well when it's wet--right after application--and tears easily at this point. If you want a flawless application, consider applying it to a piece of plexiglass and then framing that and putting it in front of your window. I have seen other people do this (makes a great light defuser as well) and it looks really nice. October 14, 2014
