Hello...
My best guess is that it seems like a simi-heavy grade pliable plastic depending on grain design. The more grain in the product, the heavier the plastic feels - almost feels like a light rubber.

Hello...
All light streams in. Even if applied to a window on a shady side of your vehicle, home, etc. Please know that you can be seen from the outside at night but just not discernibly. So, I would recommend purchasing the heaviest grain you can possibly get for your type of application. (bedrooms, bathrooms, etc.)

Answer:
Texture Twelve is one of the more translucent films we offer. The further an image is from the film the more distorted it will appear from the outside....so if an image is close to the film it could appear very clearly from the outside. Although we do not have percentages it will cut a lot of the light that comes through, I would guess around 40%-50%.

Hello...
I just simply pull from a corner and peel away - though I have never reapplied once removed. I only remove to replace. I have never reapplied the cover to another window.

Answer:
There are no adhesives involved, so that will not be an issue if the time comes and you wish to remove it. If your window gets a lot of direct sunlight, we recommend replacing the film every 1-2 years for easy removal.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 66 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by OK..... Application was ok - It was difficult to trim (I tried using exacto knife, utility knife, and then ended with scissors) but I was able to get rid of all bubbles and it's stayed on the window so far. My major reason for writing the review is the length. I guess it was my fault for not paying closer attention but I assumed for the price (which I don't think is cheap), you could actually cover a whole window/or a storm door window with it. Boy, was I wrong! I couldn't even cover the whole window so what's the point? I think the standard length should be long enough to cover one window! June 23, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good but falls off I really love the design and the ease of installation but it continually peels off the window. Followed the instructions. Not sure what else to try. June 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product Used this in a shower window for some privacy where a blind just wouldn't work. It looks great and still lets in plenty of light. Very easy to install June 14, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by So far, Impossible to Install Without Air Bubbles This product appears to be of good quality and can be applied, removed and re-applied. It is easy to apply, is very forgiving, and, since it adheres without adhesive, it can be re-positioned, removed if necessary and re-applied...multiple times. Watch the video on YouTube about installation. Having said all that, we have applied and re-applied this product to four small windows in our front door...probably five times. It always looks good after the application but the next day air bubbles are visible on the outside between the film and the glass. We have carefully followed the directions...but each time, air bubbles. It is important to cut the film 1/16" smaller on all sides than the glass measures. I may give it one more shot but, assuming the air bubbles are no worse than they are now, I'll probably leave the film on because I like the privacy the film provides. May 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Art scape window film Does not adhere well to window. Started to peel off after one week. Does not block view into room from outside Had similar item on window previously that blocked view from both inside and outside. Remained on window for 4 years without peeling. May 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Artscape used on bathroom window Easy to apply! Provides privacy while allowing natural light. April 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Does the Job I need to cover two bathroom windows that had old school privacy glass only on the bottom half. It lets in plenty of light but obscures the view perfectly, which is exactly what I wanted. I gave it four stars only because it was stiff and thick which made it a little difficult to work with. It also has a very strong plastic smell straight out of the box, but I laid it out flat for a couple of days and that seemed to help. The directions are very straight forward and cutting & application took about 30 minutes. January 19, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Looks Pretty Used for front side window. I had to cut to size which wasn't fun. Easy to apply, must be exact when cutting. Looks nice. January 26, 2016
