I need to make a 90 degree turn, trim will go vertical, then 90 to the left and go horizontal, will this trim do that?45 cuts line up?

Asked by: mrdavison
Yes, but be certain that you match the profiles as in any miter joint with moldings.

isn't this trim made of plastic?

the answer to the other question seems to indicate that the trim is made of metal. Why would a 1/2" plastic piece of trim need to be cut with a jig saw or miter saw? I think the person answering the question was talking about the tile, and not the trim.

Good question - I think just maybe the surface, but guess what.- it looks just like the brushed stainless steel panel that I used it to edge. Underside is plastic - just makes it easier to cut. But cut it carefully so you don't damage the surface at the edge of your cut.

Can this trim be cut with a utility knife?

Asked by: Anonymous
No, it would be very hard to cut with a knife! I used a table saw with a 45 deg miter attachment. A hacksaw will work also.
