Hello and thank you for your interest in our product. Aspect can be installed over most structurally sound substrates if they are flat, clean, smooth, dry, and free of dust, wax, soap scum and grease. Acceptable substrates are drywall, plaster or clean, smooth tile (glazed, porcelain type tile; not porous or textured), concrete, smooth stucco, wood paneling, mirror, glass, metal, etc,. Any damaged, loose or uneven areas must be repaired, patched and leveled. Fill cracks and irregularities with wallboard compound or spackling, then sand smooth with fine-grade sandpaper.
The substrate must be primed with a fresh coat of primer. Consult with your local paint supplier for more information. If installing Aspect over existing ceramic tile, be sure to thoroughly clean old tiles, but priming ceramic tiles is not required. Use isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol two-cloth cleaning method as surface preparation when applying tiles to a nonporous substrate, such as ceramic tile or metal. Failure to properly prepare the substrate may invalidate the warranty. Please feel free to contact our customer care team at 800.434.3750 for further assistance. Thank you!

For circular cuts, a hole saw works well. See Aspect Tile Installation Guide for additional information. All cutting blades must be fine-toothed “metal cutting” type. When cutting is complete, use a fine-grit sandpaper or a small metal file to debur the cut edges. Take the cut tile to the work space and place it in its intended location and make sure it fits properly. Another cutting method is to use a router. I have white glossy 4" ceramic tiles in my kitchen but about 9 of them have ugly flower designs on them and I don't want to take off all the tile just to get rid of them. Will these tiles stick to the already existing backsplash and is there any extra preparation needed so that they stick.

Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question. Yes, you are able to use the Aspect tiles over ceramic tiles. You could use a few drops of PL Premium on the back of the tiles before you adhere them to the ceramic tile. Please feel free to contact us at 800.434.3750 if you have any further questions. Thank you and have a great day!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This item is perfect. It is easy to install, to cut, and looks great after it is installed. This product is great, both to install, and to work with, and to look at. December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love these peel and stick tiles! I really dig these tiles. I needed 6 packs of the gold color for a small kitchen project, so with tax they cost me about a hundo. They are expensive, but the finished look is MAHHVELOUS and really adds a ton of classy design. And absolutely no muss, no fuss. Bite the bullet and splurge on this great product. I am often dissatisfied with how stuff turns out for me, decorating and remodeling-wise, but this is one product that not only met, but greatly exceeded, my expectations. I'm downright giddy with the finished look and am now looking around my house to see where else I can use these awesome and oh-so-easy-to-apply tiles! January 22, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice product, easy install, looks great Easy to install as a backsplash and looks great. Would like to see more per package as we had to buy many of them. Regardless, I would use this again and would recommend it to others. April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It looks expensive I have been looking for several years for a shiny and matte combination tile backsplash. Found only tile that require grout or individual tiles that wouldn't stick to my wall and looked cheap. I unexpectedly found these at Home Depot near the kitchen construction. They're very lightweight, easy to handle, easy to cut as needed. Because my walls are not smooth I had to use a light adhesive. I just love them! They look very expensive. Highly recommend. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Product These are so easy to install & look great to boot! I used for a backsplash behind my bathroom faucet & they really added to my bathroom. October 21, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good look for the kitchen The pull and stick is very nice except, Be right on or it will have to be torn off, There are no real second chances. Other than that they are very nice And i think maybe a bit spendy, but nice October 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Super chic silver tiles Love these tiles that we installed on the backsplash of the 1/1 apartment we remodelled. Super easy to install and looks really modern and hip. March 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overall great product for a blacksplash Ordered online and picked up next day at store. Product was easy to install. The backing had extra adhesive but I still added to wall for insurance. The slowest part was all the cuts i had to make but the product was easy to work with. Only Con - A little messy when cutting the rubber backing. This was a perfect gift for my son's house. August 22, 2013
