A jig saw or scroll saw is recommended for non-straight cuts. For circular cuts, a hole saw works well. All cutting blades must be fine-toothed “metal cutting” type (60 tooth blade). When cutting is complete, use a fine-grit sandpaper or a small metal file to debur the cut edges. Take the cut tile to the work space and place it in its intended location and make sure it fits properly. Another cutting method is to use a router. Using a table saw is also an option as long as the blade is 60 tooth or more and sharp. Answer:
I used a 32tpi blade with very good results. Used a basic plastic handle such as the Stanley mini hacksaw. Be sure and cut from the face, on the downstroke, to avoid chipping the face. I would not use a table saw unless you have a very fine blade.

These things will stick to any clean surface, but of course will look best when applied to a flat wall surface with no existing tiles.

It could be done, but make sure the existing tile is extremely clean, no grease residue or soap film which will adversely affect adhesion.
Make sure the existing tile is firmly adhered to the wall and that there are no high spots that would affect the look of your new finished job.

To cut the tiles a simply used a Dewalt utility knife to score the front of the tile and snapped them in half. The adhesive is very strong so make sure that you place them right the first time. You can take them off but will loose integrity.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from When it's a tight fit I needed to have a tile that would compliment ceramic tile I had, fit into a tight space, and not require me to take time to move a downdraft range. I'm giving 4 stars because it is too soon to comment on its durability. It's installation was quick and easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best item ever made I love this stuff. I have been wanting to change the backsplash in my kitchen for a long time, I was dreading having to remove the old tile from the 70's. it installs very easy and I was able to put it right over the existing tile as it is not real thick. cutting was easy I used my table saw with a fine blade and the few small cuts I was able to cut easily with a good pair of kitchen shears. I am adding LED lighting under the cabinets to enhance the effect. cost wise at first I thought they were a little expensive but honestly factor in that you do not have to buy thin set or grout the price is actually not bad at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Kitchen Backsplash at Reasonable Cost All pieces were precisely cut (sheets) and of even finish from one package to the next. Very easy to cut, I used a 32 tooth hacksaw blade, utility knife, and hobby knife. CAUTION: Plan an accurate layout and mark layout lines. The adhesive is extremely strong and it is nearly impossible to remove and shift tiles. The great upside to this is a great bond to a clean and solid substrate. By careful planning I did my backsplash using 7 packages of tile with only a few individual tiles and trimmings left over. Because these are accurately made you can cut single tiles from the grid for small spaces.
