Moths are inside and outside. I am thinking to get the yard version as well if it will take care of the moth issue. I also have a garden wil it hurt the bees or the hummingbirds?

Answer:
I wouldn't use it Outdoors. It is intended for indoor use, and in my opinion it wound not work nearly as well as the Outdoor Zapper's that are sold for Outdoor use, and this unit definitely should not get wet {Like a stray shower, or gets wet accidentally from a sprinkler or garden hose}.

Very weak plastic frame construction, mine came already cracked on the bottom, must have been dropped in shipping, but wouldn't take much to damage this piece. Turned it on. Bulbs nice and bright BUT, one of the grids is not under current. Flies come and sit on the grid with no consequence. The other grid is so weak that it doesn't kill the fly right away or doesn't kill it at all. I would see a fly be zapped, but it would recover and fly away. What a piece of trash, how hard is it to make a simple high constant voltage circuit work right?? It's cheap, but don't waste your money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bye-bye, bugs! I purchased this zapper because I was having an issue with gnats and flies slipping into the house every time I came home. I placed the zapper on top of the refrigerator, right next to the Kitchen entrance near my driveway. After about twenty minutes, I heard a loud "POP!". I went to the zapper, and there was a dead gnat about three inches away. This zapper is VERY effective. Keep in mind that some of the bugs will be recoiled from the unit with such velocity that they will not land in the catch tray below... allow for a "blast radius" of up to eight inches in every direction. Happy hunting! :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This thing works My garage was becoming a fly paradise. No, I was not storing compost there. Sprays were effective for only a very brief period of time. Fly "strips" collected a fair number of bugs, but still the population increased. And then I bought The Zapper. "Weapon Of Mass Destruction" comes to mind. When the weather gets warmer and the flies return from their winter vacations, I might just have to take a lawn chair and a six-pack up to the garage. It is that satisfying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best money ever spent! I was skeptical at first, but I decided to give it a try. I was blown away by how many flies this thing killed. I have a restaurant in the city, and even if we have the restaurant spotless clean, flies still come in. We kill about average 10 flies a day. Customers stopped complaining about flies sharing their food. This is a great machine, but I had to make one modification. I cut some sticky fly trap and put it on the tray, so that all the bugs will land and not go anywhere. Some of the bugs get zapped, but they get back up and fly away. This is worth every penny and I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelievably fast delivery to store for pickup! Great product that is not unsightly for what it is. I turn it on if there are insects in the air and it fries them........POW! Then I turn it off. I imagine it will stay on as the season progresses. I hung it in an out of the way corner. Someone needs to notify the insects that they are supposed to fall strait down onto the little shelf, as the hardly ever fall there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bug Zapper ! This thing loves to zap flies ! I live in a rural area and come harvest time, flies are abundant. Not any more with this bad boy. It attracts and kills flies !

Rated 2 out of 5 by from does not work for mosquitos The reason I purchased this unit is in Florida we have a high number of mosquitoes and when I open my garage door to work on the car I usually get a bunch of them coming in to keep me company. I tested this unit two ways, in the garage where I knew I had a few mosquitoes, left it on for about an hour.... no dead mosquitoes. My next test was outside where mosquitoes were visible, flying around me, I turned the unit on and again, not one dead mosquitoe. The reason I did not give this unit one star was because it seems to be built well and may work well for other flying insects. Really wish this thing had worked.
