Answer:
I would think it could suck up any dried paint chips. I would just be sure to put the vacuum bag in a plastic trash bag, when you are finished.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by So far, so good After much research, and returning a different vacuum to a different on-line entity, I decided to get the Atrix. So far, I really like it. It has great suction and is lighter weight than the last vacuum I bought (GV). Unfortunately, I had to ask for a few seemingly defective parts to be replaced. The tube sometimes did not stay connected when I was vacuuming, and the bare floor attachment was not evenly lowering the brushes, which was causing it to scrape the floor. My experience with that phone call seemed very good. I called the number on the manual and was able to speak with a customer service person (actually he was the sales manager). He got some information from me, and since I have had the vacuum less than a year (in fact, only had it a day short of a month), he was glad to replace the two parts with which I was having a problem. Here is the background on a different vacuum I had gotten on-line, and why I ended up starting over looking for another one: I recently returned a different brand of back pack vacuum, because when I had a problem with it after only using it six times, I could not reach a person on the phone. It was a very good vacuum, until the hose popped off, and I was going to be charged shipping cost for them to ship me the replacement part. After e-mailing back and forth with the one person who never answered a phone call, I contacted Amazon, and they let me return it to them with a full refund. I decided to look for a different brand of vacuum, that would have a better customer service availability. The last brand (Great Vacs) did not have any contact information on the pitiful manual that came with the vacuum. I had to Google them just to find a phone number and e-mail. I discovered they do not answer their calls. I e-mailed them and said it would be easier if I could speak with someone via telephone, and was told it would be better to reach them by e-mail. It was always the same person that e-mailed me, and I got the feeling that one person WAS the company. After no luck getting that one person to replace the part without charging me for the shipping, and seeing I would always have no customer contact via phone, I did not want to have to deal with a company like that, and finally contacted Amazon- whom I had purchased it through. They understood my frustration and gave me a return label and a full refund. Moral of this long story: Make sure the brand you get has good customer service contacts available. Atrix not only has a good manual with the vacuum, but it also has all the customer service contact information on the front of the manual, so you can easily reach them, if need be. So far, I think Atrix will be a winner! June 3, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ok vacuum it works great on wood floors and any hard floor and it is very easy to change the bag but the attachement for carpet... not so good. Other than that i'm satisfied with it. February 13, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Neat idea, but don't bother It's basically just a canister vacuum that you carry on your back. Pretty handy for stairs, and that's about it. Vacuum is very weak and will not work well on carpeting. I just returned it and will get a regular canister vacuum for half the price that will work ten times better. December 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by awesome vac This hepa vacuum is awesome !! The suction it creates with some of the corner tools is pretty amazing. You will not leave any dust, debris, bugs,....behind by using this vacuum. I love that it fits on my back like a backpack. Only thing you will have to provide yourself is an extension chord. Easy to clean anything in your house, car, garage......and did I say the suction is awesome ?? Can" t go wrong to buy this baby ! December 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this vac Been using this vacuum for a while now and the suction is outstanding. The filters are super easy to change and it just flat out works awesome. So convenient and portable as well. One of best I've used August 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Powerful Vacuum! I was really surprised how powerful this vacuum was. A buddy of mine that uses them exclusively throughout his company recommended them to me. Does everything and more and that I could ever want from a vacuum. Zero issues. Love this thing! August 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Vacuum This is the third type of vacuum I purchased after returning the first 2. I have black wood floors and other vacuums I have used have scratched them. This vacuum is great because only the small attachment touches the floor therefore it does not scratch it. Lots of attachments. Great suction. I am very happy with it thus far. You will need an extension chord. June 23, 2014
