The propane tank sits on a small platform on the wheel side right under the shelf. On the old Aussie the tank was hidden but on this new one it is not.

Answer:
No, the grill is not assembled. It took my husband and I about 3 hours to assemble. The parts are well marked but there are a lot of them. All parts were there but two scores did not fit properly in holes. Luckily, I had other scores that fit.

Answer:
The tanks is stored under the left side of the grill. It is a little tricky getting it in properly, but fortunately you do not have to replace it frequently. Don't forget to close the tank shutoff after usage to prevent leakage.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not like the old one! The gas grill took us about 3 hours to assemble as there are many little parts. The instructions were easy to understand, for the most part, and all of the parts were there, although 2 of the screws did not fit properly into holes. We had our old Aussie grill for about 10 years and loved it. This one seems to be made with cheaper materials. The side trays are not made with the sturdy, nicely finished material our old one had and the old one had nice handles that helped when moving it around. The old one also had a removable screen in the front where the propane tank was completely hidden from sight whereas on the new one the tank rests on a platform and is not hidden. Even with these changes it is a great size, if you have a limited space, and seems to work well. It would be nice if the wheels could be attached on either side. August 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Aussie 2200 gas grill The good - Very happy with grill thus far. Great price for what you get and the instructions to put together were good. The bad - Although instructions were good, it still took about 4-5 hrs to put together. All the screws and nuts were there in a plastic and cardboard which made it easy to get to. Problem was picking out the right screw. Instructions at each step gave picture of screw but many were almost the same size, so after a few step and finding I used wrong screw had to back track. It would have been nice if they had labeled the screw size on the packing cardboard/plastic. Difficulty in installing propane tank due to the side panel being so low. .So had to remove for easier installation. Finally, I think it will be difficult getting parts for grill because it is not clear who the mfr is or how to order.. I could never find it on the web using the name and model #. Bottom line: For price - no regrets for minimum times it will be used per year April 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value if you want a two burner grill Comes as a erector kit. You will need 3-4 Hrs to assemble. Works great and will travel easily. June 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great value and very reliable I owned my koala grill for eight years and never had a single problem. Finally I had an issue with the hose and decided to replace the grill with the same one. Anyone who used the grill commented on how hot it got for such a small grill. I love it. October 2, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average product, replacement parts not readily available Fairly cheap price but did not last long. ignition device quit after first year, drip shield rusted out. Plastic wheels broke apart. Liked the fold down shelves. No stores sold replacement parts, company hq web site has parts but when cost plus shipping, you are already near a new replacement grill. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nine Years and still going I've had one of these for nine years and use it almost everyday during the summer. It's still working great. October 5, 2013
