The blades are made in Italy by Freud. It is considered a B+ blade for everyday use. For knotscot, the reason the carbide is small because it is a thin kerf blade not the usual 1/8" full kerf. Thin kerf blades are recommended for saws that are 1 1/2 horse and under. I mill a lot of my own lumber and use these blades for that purpose. Not the blades I would use for my furniture projects.
A better than average than your $20-30 dollar blades.

These blades are average at best. They use cheap stamped steel bodies, and some of the smallest carbide ever to be brazed onto a steel body. Resharpening isn't possible, so they're basically disposable. They're also not sharpened well and the carbide is softer than what's on better blades, so they won't hold an edge for long. The Avanti blades are no better than what comes stock on most power saws. Save your money, it's not that expensive to do considerably better.

Used with my 10" sliding chop saw and works fine. I'm only using one blade now.

I put a new blade on for ripping and what a great job this blade did. I was skeptical about the lack of knowledge I had of this brand. Turned out to be a good a good choice.

If you are an avid wood worker like me, you use your saws a lot. These blades are great. I have one on my table saw and radial arm saw. They cut very clean with little splintering. I have several Avanti products and have never been dissatisfied with any of them. What makes this such a good deal is you get two blades for less than what you would pay for one blade of this quality any place else.
