Looking for a 7 1/4 inch circular saw blade for cutting plastic panels (polycarbonate) What is recommended for the job? Would a 60 tooth fine finish blade work?
Asked by: tony
This blade has carbide teeth that can still break the panels. Avanti makes a 140 tooth blade (Model # A07140A) that HD carries that will do a much better job.

Can this blade be used on miter saw?

Asked by: Delta
I've used this blade on my miter saw before, you'll just have to raise your work up a little bit to compensate for the smaller blade.

I needed a finer tooth blade for cutting the melamine to reduce the chip out of the cuts. I was pleased to find a relatively inexpensive blade in a tooth count that fit my needs and was happy overall with its performance

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like butter The smaller and more teeth the blade had made the cutting so much easier compared to the blade that came with the saw. I don't do a lot of carpentry and usually leave dark burn marks when I do cut but with this blade it made doing projects so much easier. My dad used it to build closet shelves and he was impressed with the performance of the blade. He's been a carpenter all his life so I trust his opinion.

Te Avanti blade gave exceptional service, especially for the price, rivaling that of better-known brands. One of the better buys I've shopped at any store, not just Home Depot.

I needed a general purpose blade to replace the original on my 10-year-old Skilsaw. This one works well at a reasonable price (I obviously only use it occasionally). I would recommend it for general use - plywood, hardwood, regular lumber, etc.

Good price for a 60t carbide blade, very satisfactory finish cut for trimming some doors. The overall quality is maybe not quite on par with a Freud (Diablo), but worth what I paid for my need.
