Customer Questions & Answers

Arbor Size

What is the arbor size.? Can we just buy one (1) single blade. NOT a 2 pack?
Asked by: Apollo
1" Arbor on the blade. Most blades have inserts that reduce it to 5/8. Check your blade when you remove it from the saw. Yes it is a two pack

Why is it all blades have the 1" arbor hole size?

I have a Craftsman 12" table saw and a Dewalt 12" radial arms saw, both with 5/8" arbors. I would think the manufactured SHOULD INCLUDE these bushings with the blades. After fighting this I finally got the gauge as 14 and the measurement of .080", went to the bushing drawer in hardware store and bought several for $.40 each. I carefully hammered it into place and am now happily operating a new blade on my radial arm saw. Please be advised these need to be available in store if not included....
Asked by: woodworkercharles
One reason is they are saws that come with 1" arbors, it would be cheaper to produce saw blades with 1" holes. It's the box stores like Home Depot that should supply an adapter with the saw, or carry them in their stores. Its just a 12 cent washer basically. If more people would complain to HD maybe they would add one.

Can you cut a 4x4 with this blade?
Asked by: 4x4
yes, you may and it will do the job; however, i would recommend a bladed with lesser teeth to cut a 4x4.

I tried this blade because of the low price and the positive reviews. I instantly noticed that it seemed less sharp out of the box, and worse, it scalloped miter cuts, even in soft wood. I suppose these might be acceptable to some people for production quality trim work, but not to me. These blades have a thick kerf, and they are made in China. The best thing about them is they have a 45 day money back guarantee. I took advantage of that to return them and get a new Made-in-Italy Diablo blade. Much sharper and much better cutting; no comparison. I'll stick with Avanti for diamond blades, but I will not use these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great blade, even better value! I've had this blade in my saw for 3 months, I use it every working day as a carpenter. I originally bought these as a band-aid while waiting for my Diablo's to be sharpened. I haven't had a reason to take this out of the saw yet. I"ve cut just about everything with it, baseboard, solid maple crown moulding, melamine, plywood - everything basically. I always get very good clean straight cuts. The blade runs true and doesn't deflect or bog down while cutting. After 3 months and thousands of cuts later I'm still on the first blade. It always help to clean the pitch off the blades every so often to keep it sharper longer.

After installing 800 sg. ft. of Pergo epoxy laminate flooring my carbide tip blade was worn out. The kerf of each tooth of the original blade was actually worn flat. I purchased the Avanti Pro 80 tooth fine finish saw blade as a replacement. I got 2 blades for a cheaper price than one 80 tooth Diablo blade. The quality of the Avanti Pro seems to be fine with smooth end grain cuts thru pine. Two blades for the price of 1made sense to me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sub pro quality Although a bit better than the diablo line which it totally designed wrong and can't make one day of work , I did get 2 days of cutting with the avanti , it's sad that homedepot wants the professionals to shop here but this is why the true pros won't , get a pro line in , we would pay the difference . Something that has more metal to it and can be sharpened, also offer sharpening setvice

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good purchase I didn't have $66 to buy the leading brand blade, which I normally do, and have been doing without my chop saw because of the price to get a blade. Fortunately, as I was about to bite the bullet and get 1 blade with less teeth, just so I could have my saw availible for miscellaneous cuts, I saw these blades and not only did I get 80 teeth, but it came with 2 blades for less than the price of the one. So far I have made about 80 cuts in softer woods, with the first blade, and have not seen any decline in the quality of the cut. I am thinking it may not last as long as the more expensive blades, but the value is clearly in favor of these blades at 1/3rd the cost. I would highly recommend them, and if you knew me, that is not my typical review.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wobbly I have used avanti blades for years. I had a 10" sliding miter and never had a problem with the blades until I upgraded to a 12" slider and the blade wobbles. I returned the blades for new ones thinking they were just bad. I switched the blades and they still wobbled so I switched to Diablo 100 tooth and no problems

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Avanti I remodel homes and have been using Avanti blades for a few years now and couldn't be more satisfied. I used Diablo blades before and feel the Avanti blades are same quality at a much better price. Keep it up Avanti!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value For having 2 blades in the pack for this price I was expecting poor performance but I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth and clean the cuts were. Best bang for the buck I have purchased in a long time
