Surface preparation is very important. I used a sander & 80 grit paper before starting with their steps. The instructions say to mix up all of the 2 part product a once. That's the 1st mistake. Make half of a batch, roll all of tub except the non slip area 1st. Then mix the grit into the remaining amount & do the bottom area. Allow to dry for a couple of hours. Then mix the rest & coat the whole tub. If you follow their instructions you will have runs & grit all over the whole tub

The kit was nice as included gloves, tray etc., and appeared to be a good thick coating. Application was tricky as recall instructions saying should be applied thickly. I attempted to apply as such but ended up with dripping in several areas. Called the company and spoke to someone who was very helpful and offer option was to order a repair kit costing about $39.00. I haven't gone that route yet. Time will tell how long it holds up as it has been less than 2 months. Refinishing is tedious work and there are several restrictions with regard to care, but costs less than hiring someone.

It worked great. Sanded and applied over another refinish kit that had yellowed. Get a couple of extra little rollers like other reviews suggest. Ventilate area well.

This stuff works!! Easy to use, just follow the directions. You MUST have plenty of ventilation though, as the product has a very strong odor for several days. The finished product looks wonderful.

Read the instructions carefully and follow them. The non-slip works well and is not cosmetically noticeable. The white is very bright and looks great. It may be impossible to apply perfectly due to the awkward contortions necessary, but overall it covers discolorations excellently, sticks like glue, dries shiny and sure beats the cost and labor of a new tub. Preparation is key as in all these projects. (Oh, and make sure you don't confuse the labels and use the catalyst for a primer!!)

I was very apprehensive to try and refinish the bathtub myself, but figured it was work a try. The worst that could happen is that I would need to hire pros, who would remove what I did anyway.
As it turns out, the product was very easy to use and overall - I am very happy with the results. The only reason I did not give the fifth star was because I discovered that the one 4 inch foam rolling applicator that came with the kit was not. The adhesiveness property of the paint is so good that the foam on the roller started to shred off, leaving little flecks embedded in the painted surface. The it got progressively worse as the paint became more solidified. I would recommend that you buy a few extra 4 inch foam rolling applicators to use as the first roller starts to disintegrate. I think HD sold 2-packs for $3 and change.

The prep work is a bit tedious, but it came out as I had hoped. Make sure you have good ventilation as the fumes are pretty strong and can be really irritating for about 12 hours. It looks like a new tub now.
