I was very apprehensive to try and refinish the bathtub myself, but figured it was work a try. The worst that could happen is that I would need to hire pros, who would remove what I did anyway.
As it turns out, the product was very easy to use and overall - I am very happy with the results. The only reason I did not give the fifth star was because I discovered that the one 4 inch foam rolling applicator that came with the kit was not. The adhesiveness property of the paint is so good that the foam on the roller started to shred off, leaving little flecks embedded in the painted surface. The it got progressively worse as the paint became more solidified. I would recommend that you buy a few extra 4 inch foam rolling applicators to use as the first roller starts to disintegrate. I think HD sold 2-packs for $3 and change.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bean Great product but color not quite white
Overall this is a great product. The instructions were clearly written and very easy to follow. It's a lot of prep work but the overall results are well worth the extra effort. I once had an ugly blue tub and with just one kit it was completely transformed.
I only gave this 4 stars for two reasons:
1. The included brush started to break down and leave little pieces in the tub. If you're going to include everything needed in the kit, include a better quality brush that won't break down.
2. The color is not really white. It's more of a bone white but not true white. The tiles in my bathroom are pure white and the tub does not match. Better than the blue but I did expect pure white (or at least a mention somewhere that the color is not quite white). I even checked the materials after I was done to make sure I ordered the right color.
However, even with the cons mentions above, the product is great and was easy to follow. Make sure you wear a respirator and open the whole house for fresh air.

Resurfacing my tub was easier than I thought it would be. I followed the instructions and only added my electric palm sander. The smell is strong but the finish look is outstanding. BTW, I used the non-slip material on the floor of the tub. Was well worth it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by cesaltz Easy to use
This is the second time I have used a tub refinishing kit. This tub refinishing kit came complete with everything I need to refinish the tub except for the caulk I needed. I was able to prep, clean and apply two coats of paint in a few hours and the finish almost looks as good as a professional finish. I don't know how long this finish will last but right now I am happy with the results.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by update love it!!
So, I have a cast iron tub that was almond in color. We are remodeling the bathrooms, and this one was my project (vs the contractors project... he had said removing that tub was going to be monster of a job).
Anyway, I attended (coincidentally) a Home and Garden Show the following weekend, and spoke with a company on Refinishing Tubs. They said their flat rate for standard size tub was $400.
After considering it, I decided to look up Home Depot's products and see how the reviews ranked it...
I purchased, and I love it!!
First off: Buy the recommended high profile, filtered mask! $30 and worth it.
The product is extremely stinky. I bought the mask ahead of time, and would have anyway as I'm familiar with working with oil based products.
I followed the instructions for the most part. Instead of hand-sanding the tub, I put the same 80 grit on my palm sander and did a much thorough job in half the time.
Make sure the tub is clean and DRY, as recommended.
I cleaned one day, and let dry overnight. wrapped up the heads so no water could drip if it wanted too.
Sanded and wiped and painted. That process took me about 2 hours.
I did two coats as recommended. I add the slip-prevention in the bottom, as included in box...
I love love love it.
Saved $330 by not having a Company come do it.
(If you hit the tile by accident like I did, no worries, the next day you can scrape it with a razor)
