Customer Reviews

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very impressed with quality and ease of instalation Overall I found these lights to be very high quality, easy to install, and the finished product looks awesome. I bought 2 more 10-packs for other rooms in our house. A few things to consider however would be 3/8in Clamp Connectors for 1/2in Knock Out to clamp the Romex to the light's junction box (Halex PN# 20511 from Home Depot worked well for me). Also, if you're installing in insulation, you will need BAZZ PN: BT1200 (ceiling box) & PN: VAP101 (vapor shield for BT1200) both found here on Home Depot. And as another reviewer mentioned, be careful not to cut the holes too big. The BAZZ 300 box comes with a template "cut-out" that's exactly the size needed...I used this and manually cut the holes vs. using a hole saw I mention all of this because I found the other reviewer's comments helpful when I was planning my installations and I hope it will in turn help you! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So far so good I used these for our bedroom that had no lights installed. I put 8 in, 6 around the room and two as reading lights above the bed. At first, I thought they were maybe too off white for my installation, and that the trim protruded too much (maybe 1/5" higher than the ceiling). But honestly after installation they look great. The trim is metal with a thick coat of semi-gloss paint, I haven't found any chips or problems with it - despite expecting a flat plastic finish. The gimbal works well, although I only use the feature on the reading lights. I've already ordered a second pack of 10, I've decided to install 4 in each of the other rooms. I think 4 will be plenty for a standard size bedroom. I am using Philips LED bulbs with my lights - but only in the rooms that are frequently used. With regard to installation, it was overall fairly easy. I purchased a less than useful Greenlee lighting drill bit (I don't recommend it - patching the ceiling is NOT fun). The cut out size is 3-7/8" which is a bit odd. Many 4" recessed lighting drill bits are 4-3/8". Don't forget to buy Romex 3/4" KO clamps for these. My 4 out of 5 rating is because the trim is 4-3/8" total. Which means any problems when drilling or markings on the wall can't really be hidden - but I guess themes the breaks when dealing with 4" recessed lights. The screw clips that Bazz uses are great though, highly recommend those. January 27, 2013
