Does the fixture come with the GU10 LED lamp?

Would like to know the wattage, lumen output and color temperature for the LED lamp

The last ones I received came with a 7W GU10 lamp specifying 480 Lumens and a color temperature of 3000K

can they be installed in a damp location? what is the housing and trim made of?

Asked by: dave
Here is the URL for the Manufacturer's Spec Sheet on these lights: Under "Caracteristics" (their spelling) it states: "for all interior applications". However, just below that statement, it has a picture of what could be a bath fan with a Circle with a slash NO symbol over it. Seems conflicting... If I were you, I'd call the Manufacturer for clarification, as you may need something published for your inspector... BAZZ Phone number in Quebec, Cnada: 800.931.4470

Does the MFG have the same exact style where clearance is not an issue

So I need to install 2 of these but want to install 8 total. I only need the low clearance models in 2 places and was interested in figuring out what was the exact style match for the light that doesn't have the low clearance design.
Asked by: DEC
FWIW, Having used these on a few jobs, I wouldn't think twice about using them where clearance was not an issue. The nature of LED lighting means that fixtures can be designed far more compactly than with incandescents or CFLs, so the small size of these is really not much of a limiting factor, unless you have very high ceilings or need more lumens than a 10w GU lamp can produce. I have found that on 8 foot ceilings somewhere between 3 to 4 foot spaced lighting grids produce very good comfortable light, and with an LED rated dimmer, they can be dimmed down to more intimate levels... Hope this is helpful... :)

Flex 4 Series 3-7/8 in. White LED Recessed Lighting Fixture with Designed for Ceiling Clearance is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for tight spaces I had been searching for a light like this for a couple of years. I removed a light in my kitchen, removed the box, with the plan of installing a can light in its place. I hadn't picked out exactly which lights I was going to use yet. To my surprise the electrician / builder had the light installed directly under a hot water line in the ceiling with about 3 and a half inches of clearance. All the recessed lights I found were too deep. I was living with this hole in my ceiling, which was always a good conversation starter, for over a year. I came across this light in an email from home depot and noticed it said for ceiling clearance. So I checked the description and the measurements matched up. I decided to take a gamble. What a perfect fit. They fit exactly inside the old hole from the ceiling light box which I removed. The can in which the light is held has 2 tabs on it that when you screw in it grips onto the sheetrock. Very light weight. Was able to fit tight next to the stud without a problem. Wiring was a snap, then the box with about 6-8 inches of flex attached to the light itself, fit right up in the ceiling then the box snapped into place. The trim is easy to remove. And bonus, the lights tilt inside the housing in case you want to point them towards some thing. I will probably buy a few more to place around the house. The light output is a bright white, and is also dimmable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All 16 work perfectly now I installed 16 of these in my vaulted ceilings. These lights were my only option because my ceilings are framed with 2x4s, giving me only 3.5 inches of clearance. I purchased a 3 and 7/8 hole saw bit for my drill ( which cut perfect holes. The only trick with the bit is you should start out at a slow speed and use reverse to start the hole. You need to be patient with the bit or you can gauge your drywall. I did encounter one problem after they were all installed. The lights buzzed. I made sure my dimmer was an LED and there was no other interference on the circuit with the light that could cause buzzing. I emailed Bazz in Canada and they said they were aware of the problem. They sent me 16 brand new bulbs free of charge and the lights now have no noise, even when dimmed to the lowest setting. Kudos to Bazz for their customer service. Overall I am really happy with the lights. The were the only solution for a tight space, they were easy to install, and they look good :).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fixture for a low clearance ceiling Very well built and attractive fixture. The job involved a bathroom with a dropped ceiling in the bathrooms and a surface mounted light fixture would be awkwardly low. I knew there were air conditioning and ventilation ducts above the ceiling, and exploring with a drill revealed there was just under 3" between the drywall and ducting. I searched everywhere for a low clearance fixture (needed four total) and finally found this one. It's easy to install and looks extremely clean. The only issue I would point out is that a 4" hole is bit too big. The template calls for a 3 7/8" I believe, but such a hole saw diameter doesn't exist. A 4" works but it needs to be a good clean cut since there's only about 1/8" left. Comments: it comes with an LED bulb which is very bright, but a cold white look. I replaced the bulbs with 50w GU10 Halogen and put a dimmer on the entire range. Result is a warmly lit bathroom. Another thing: I'm sad to read HD is discontinuing it since the BAZZ 4 really saved this job. It took a lot of searching on HD's website before it came up, so I wonder if it didn't sell because of the way it was listed. It's not sold in stores and I suspect the only reason this didn't sell is because people didn't know about it. If HD is reading this it might pay to make it pop up in a search for low clearance recessed lighting, or just put it higher in the results so people see it. I highly recommend this fixture, so much so that I'm going to buy a few and stock them for future use as I don't know where I'll ever find them again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recessed lighting. I purchased 14 lights online and they were delivered within 3 days. The lights were individually packaged which made it easy for me to examine (adore, obsess over) one before calling the electrician. I purchased the ones w the white baffle and the lights are small, sleek and sexy. Oh and they are IC rated meaning not a fire hazard if installed near ceiling insulation. I had them installed in the lower level Fam room (low clearance) and in main level living room (plenty of attic clearance). Used an approved dimmer and I am very pleased with the soft almost Amber glow. Not harsh white or Operating room type lighting at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little lights! Just Installed 9 of these in a Ceiling where there was only 4" of clearance. Worked beautifully! The remodel fastening system is well engineered and works quickly and effectively. Very nice quality of light and 3 to 4 foot spacing on an 8 foot ceiling gives good light coverage (Approximately 40 deg angle of light coverage). These take standard GU10 LED bulbs and the supplied bulbs are plenty bright for an 8' ceiling, however, if you either want more light, Or your ceiling is higher, you could replace the supplied bulbs with GU10 10 watt lamps, as the housing is labeled as rated for theses brighter lamps. Really like these fixtures and am currently placing an order for some more for a similar situation! FWIW, I'm a Licensed California General Contractor and I'm particular about safety and quality...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value and product one small draw back The lights are bright and look great. They are capable of being aimed but at a high angle which you may require on a sloped ceiling there is a gap between the lens and housing. Its not a bulls eye design. Other than that they are great. For a flat ceiling or moderate angle on a sloped ceiling it a really great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great product! As advertised, this product was easily ordered; arrived on time; installed in minutes with wiring runs in place and drywall cut to size. With the lights properly directed the expected lighting affect was achieved in minutes. Great product for low clearance ceilings.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice product 2 things: The electrical cover plate is not"captured" which is annoying and also the unit must be aimed before it's tightened because the eyeball feature has very little adjustability once it's installed.
