I used various tinted colors of this product to paint furniture for our granddaughters. I spent a lot of time just prepping the furniture, stripping, sanding and patching, before I painted. I sanded a LOT, starting with 60 grit and working my way up to 320, using 3M sandpaper (my favorite). My husband thought I was nuts, but he agreed it was worth all of the prep work when he saw the finished product.
I used the best foam rollers Home Depot sold, and the key to a good paint job on furniture is to only paint in one direction with the best foam rollers you can afford. If you've painted a lot of walls like I have, it took a while to get into the habit, but it was definitely worth the effort, with minimal paint strokes as a result. For places where I had to use a paint brush, my go-to brush is always a Purdy angled brush. And as with every paint project, two coats required.
It's been about 3 months, and so far the furniture is holding up good. I was happy with the way the paint job turned out, and would recommend this type of paint for furniture. One of my cardinal rules for a successful paint job is to use the best paint rollers and brushes you can afford, and Home Depot has a good selection to choose from. Please note that I am not a professional; this is just a hobby for me.

The paint is still tacky after a week. Spoke with Home Depot's Behr rep and they said it could take 3-4 weeks to cure. Home Depot did refund our money.

This paint sets up so quickly that you can't fix any problems while wet. It also does not level well at all. I think Behr needs to work on this formula much more

I grabbed this paint off the shelf as there was a long line at the paint department, was caught by the description for painting over wood. As I was painting over wood trim thought this would be perfect. Got home and realized this is not the standard Behr Trim paint –have never used oil and was not familiar with ALKYD paint --- but was very pleasantly surprised with the results. I did my prep work by sanding. Nice a thick – definitely requires two coats, but the results is perfect. Used in the master bed/bath suite, and two walk in closets. Will use it in other areas now as well. I also noticed the there was way less lingering smell.

Maybe it is just glossier than I like, but I do not love this paint.
I used it to paint my bathroom cabinets, and I did everything as directed. I cleaned it with TSP, I used a deglosser, I cleaned it again. I used a primer, I waited over 24-hours between coats, I waited 7 days to hang it with hardware, and still, it is sticky and I just dont love it.
Also, when I went to wipe it off, it started to rub and bleed. That's not good!
I was able to match it with the Behr color I wanted exactly, so that was nice.

I usually use Ben Moore Advance Alkyd in Satin. Excellent professional looking results. Decided to try this because my family wanted to use it. Well, it's too shiny and it doesn't feel as hard as advance. It's latexy and feels rubbery. I'm hoping some poly over the top will help. I won't use this again for wood. I sprayed this and while it's wet it looks nice and smooth. As of dries, it's like it shrinks up into any imperfection instead of drying smooth and hard.
