Answer:
First, this is a stain not paint. Dry or wet, after application Product has no traction issues. It is absorbed in to the wood and leaves no residue to change "traction". Your wood will feel the same... Just look much better and weather better.

Answer:
Dear Bigjune,
The BEHR NO. 300 Waterproofing Wood Protector is a stand-alone wood finish to be applied directly onto a properly prepared bare wood surface. It offers basic waterproofing and UV protection while creating a slightly toned, natural finish. This product is not meant to be used in combination with paint.

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dries very quickly, but ask me if it works in 25 years Product dries so quickly, I can't tell what I painted on 10 minutes ago. However, this might just be the weather down here - which is windy and hot. However, it promises to last up to 25 years - so ask me in 24 years how it is holding up. April 16, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not what I expected Easy to apply, But remember it is not CLEAR. It's a light brown, It lasted on my deck maybe 1.5 years. Again it is not CLEAR!! June 3, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This "Clear" and "Transparent" sealer is definitely BROWN! I'm very disappointed that I did not read other post until after spraying part of my deck. I wanted a clear sealer and now have 4 brown deck boards on my new deck. I'm trying to determine if stripper will remove or I have to pull up and replace decking. July 29, 2012
