Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Pancho A useless $29+ gallon of paint
The listing states "Available in Custom Colors & Computerized Color Matching (Available In Stores Only)" WRONG........There are only 24 colors that can be tinted with this paint and none of the stores have the formulas! I thought I would be able to get this tinted to the color I wanted when I picked it up at the store I had it sent to. The paint department advised that they couldn't tint it and made a phone call to Behr while I waited. No dice! They couldn't tint it so I am stuck with a gallon of paint that I can't use. Don't buy any paint from HD that is not in stock at the store. I learned this the hard way and will probably go elsewhere for my future paint needs.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by mikem17 Great Idea- But Need LOTS of Paint
My roof is only 2 1/2 years old but my wife and I wanted to change the color so it matched the siding and shutters. I was happy to find a product like this that I could use on asphalt shingles, and very happy to read about the coverage. Unfortunately, the coverage estimates are no where near accurate for architectural shingles. Rather than one 5 gallon bucket of primer and one 5 gallon bucket of paint for my 1,800 sq foot roof, I had to use 12 gallons of primer and about the same for the paint- I'm waiting for my third order of paint to arrive to finish the project. The cost of the project is triple what I budgeted. I'm using a 1 1/4" nap roller. I'd have to use even more paint if I wanted to cover every shingle overlap entirely. I assume the architectural shingle requires more paint than a traditional style shingle. I wish I knew this before starting the project.
My wife and I are thrilled with the look of the roof (we used matte black).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by VTWales33 Awesome Product! Saved Thousands!
This product exceeded my expectations. I bought a home with a roof in a great shape but I wanted to paint the exterior and the roof color was brown and did not coordinate well. We painted the roof with the charcoal color and it looks amazing! The product has excellent coverage, it took about 5 gallons to cover the roof of a 1920 SF home. The product is pretty thick and imagine it seals up any potential leaks that may be forming as well. I will definitely use again if needed!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Alpacagirl Good paint, but buy more than you think you need!
First of all I LOVE that this paint comes in so many colors, even though I chose "boring" black it was nice to have other options if I so desired. We used it on an OSB roof on our horse shed so not a typical roofing material. It went on really easily and was smooth finish...not like one of the other brands we have tried in the past. In hindsight we should have bought another 5 gallons to do a 2nd coat and will be doing so in the future. Only complaint is that I wish it had more of a sealant factor so we didn't have to go over the roof again with caulk.

Used a roller to apply this product.
It went on easily, covered well and gives an outstanding appearance!
I prepped the surface first with the multi-surface primer and sealer. (A great combination)

I do rehabs. Have a house with a white tile roof.
Power washed and cleaned roof. Sprayed the first coat. It showed poor coverage. Second coat in many areas better, but REALLY how many coats do I need.
I am not going to buy 50 gallons of this stuff to get decent coverage. Buyer beware.

I noticed a roof leak beside each skylight. So I picked Behr Multi Surface Roof Paint to cure the problem. Living in Florida we are accustom to many rains, some blowing or worse. Behr should survive the daily sun and flex. Time will tell if I'm correct, I trust Behr Paints and feel confident the roof paint will be excellent also.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Shotei Do not use a roller
Says it will cover 250 to 450 sq ft. I only got 94 sq ft per gallon using a roller. Got about 300 sq ft using a sprayer and it's going to take at least 2 coats probably 3. It took me almost 2 hours to roll one gallon of paint. Very hard to do to get good coverage. Even using a sprayer it's going to take at least twice as much paint as it says.
