I just pressure washed my brick the day before applying this paint. I did not use anything else than water to clean the brick.
I used an airless sprayer to apply the paint. It went on flawlessly and looks great. I applied 2 coats.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 30 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Hiding Ability A previous owner painted the slump block (a type of concrete brick) a glow-in-the-dark bright blue, and we used a cream color Behr Masonry Paint over that. It covered 97% of the blue in one coat, which we thought was pretty impressive. There are small areas where the blue shows through, but the slump block is a very uneven surface to paint. We'll see how it stands up to the brutal Arizona sun, but so far we are pleased with how nice it was to apply and how well it covered. February 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great on even 20 year old synthetic stucco Bought a gallon to refinish my stucco mailbox that had sun faded and cracked. I used stucco patch on the large cracks but the paint filled in the small hairline cracks. It looks great and better than the house now. I also touched up some siding that had been hit with my lawnmower and it looks great. If I had the money, I would cover my house with this !!! Maybe I'll win a Home Depot gift card so I can buy the paint :) February 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ALWAYS THE BEST! I Must Admit, & I am Extremely Picky about what a product actually DOES compared to what is "Promised!" These BEHR Products, & we've used MANY different ones, from interior to exterior, have all Been "EXCEPTIONAL"..Period..this is why time & time again, we GO TO BEHR Products, because they are Long Lasting, they DO NOT Require Multiple coats except when they Tell you they DO, & they DO what they SAY they ARE Going to DO..& again, THEY LAST! Best Out there for the MONEY, pardon the PUN..BEAR NONE..BEHR NONE OTHER..INTERIOR, EXTERIOR, GARAGE FLOOR< & POOL DECK! ALL HAVE BEEN THE BEST TO HOLD UP & MAINTAIN...THE COVERINGS & WE LIVE IN FLORIDA where most do Not HOLD UP..BEHR Consistently Does. September 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Superb exterior paint This is a great exterior paint. You know when you get the paint on your hands and find it difficult to get it off. Once it's painted on the wall, it doesn't come off. It protects the exterior wall from wind, rain and whatever mother nature throws at it. November 7, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Another Amazing Behr Paint My husband removed old, decrepit wooden shelving that was up against a wall in the basement. The first photo shows how the wall looked after the shelving was removed (and after we cleaned and scrubbed the wall). I was uncertain how the paint would cover it being that I never painted with masonry/brick paint before. It turned out beautiful! The color is Navajo White (satin finish). The second photo shows the wall right after I finished painting it. The coverage is amazing! Going to let it dry thoroughly for a few days and add on one more coat. The rest of the basement walls only need one coat (the old paint was white). Amazing product! July 5, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Consistency through the years I have been using Behr paint since I bought my home in 2001. Since then I have always achieved excellent results with all the Behr products. Specifically, the exterior of our home is painted with Behr Masonry, Stucco & Brick Paint. I never have to worry about touch-ups because they always match perfectly. The paint dries quickly and clean-up is very easy. The value for quality received is excellent and I foresee a long continued partnership with Behr products. September 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Masony Paint I am very happy with this paint , covers very well and looks great ! September 19, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Miracle Paint My house is built from Aercon (aerated autoclaved concrete) which requires special "breathable" paint, and I have been very happy with this Behr product. I had previously painted the walls light blue/gray ("misty surf"). I rented the house out and the tenants unfortunately painted the walls a hideous dark brown and a nice, but extremely dark, midnight blue! To my utter surprise and amazement, Behr "misty surf" covered the darker colors in one coat. Wow. In addition, I love this paint because it has no fumes and is gentle on the skin and easy to wash off and clean up when you are done painting. I think it compares very favorably to much more expensive paints. June 20, 2014
