Answer:
Hello Burlbo,
Thanks for your question. This metal paint can and bucket is made to store paints and stains. If you're unsure if the Minwax can go into something like this, please check with them to verify. If not, you might also look into getting a plastic paint can that should be available at Home Depot.
Well wishes for your project!

Answer:
Yes. That is why I purchased the cans, to divide up a gallon of poly! I would keep these cans out of the weather because they can eventually rust on the bottoms!

Hi Phil,
Thanks for writing in, and sounds like cool project! Behr paint buckets however, are not lined with a FDA approved coating that is safe for food packaging. Sorry for any inconvenience, and best of luck on your project!

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by good for short term It will rust and it will dry your paint after a few years. I used it to keep extra touch up paint for the house. It was rusted with tuny hiles and white stuff over the can. so bad I had to cut the can open. Used an empty Nutella jar instread. August 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works as Faraday Box With the news coming out that car thieves are using amplifier technology to ping car fobs thus allowing them to enter and start key less ignitions I was looking for a low cost Faraday box. I tried several boxes either foil encased boxes and even a double steel document box with out luck. Having seen someone used a martini shaker I was looking for a small fully contained enclosure. That said I tried this placing my cell phone inside and calling the number. The call went to voicemail indicating the can blocked the signal to the phone. That said I now place my garage opener remotes inside the can every night and will do the same when I have a car using key less start. September 7, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Paint It's a empty metal can with a lid what else can be said September 26, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for stoves With a few minutes effort, this makes a great twig stove / cat can stove wind screen. Be prepared for the finish to burn off on first use. July 24, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Served their purpose - no issues So glad we ordered these online rather than trying to buy directly at the store. In store lots of the cans are missing lids but by buying online the employee who assembled our order dealt with that for us! They have helped us save a ton of space. May 19, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by You "CAN" do it. These little cans are perfect for storing leftover paint and/or stain where the orginal paint can is damaged and the lid won't seal shut. Also works great to store nuts/bolts/screws, pipe tobacco, pipes, etc. I would recommend to anyone looking for a paint storage container. May 23, 2014
