The paint covers well but doesn't stick well when masked later for caulking or other trim. Even when left in place for more than a week and using blue painters easy release tape the paint still pulls off of the wall. Touching up all of the places needing fixing is time consuming pain in the butt.
This is the best most expensive paint Home Depot sells, but with this issue I wouldn't recommend it over less expensive paints.

I convinced my parents to purchase this paint as I had seen the advertisements for the "One Coat Coverage." We were attempting to paint over a very busy vinyl wallpaper that covered the kitchen walls in my parents' older but newly purchased mobile home. Although this paint is a little spendy, it does exactly as it says. It covers in one coat! Even on vinyl wallpaper, it adhered and covered well. I can't honestly say that another type of less expensive paint wouldn't do just as well after several coats, but to be honest, my time is worth more than that. One coat coverage with this paint is the way to go!

I purchased this paint specifically for the one coat guarantee. I had planned to paint my fiancé's home office as a surprise while he was away on business; it was important that the chosen paint need one coat so it would have time to dry and offgas before the office would be needed again. (He works remote, so it's a daily-use office.) The prior wall color was a creamy white, and I chose a medium tone blue. I prepped the walls with diluted vinegar to ensure a clean surface. I applied paint as I always do: I edged first with a Wooster brush, then coated the walls generously using a premium no-lint roller nap. However, once dry I noticed white spots showing through in various places. I did not have time for a second coat, so I quickly touched up a few key (eye-level) spots with a foam brush. When I asked my local Home Depot about the "one coat guarantee", offering to bring in pictures if needed, I was only offered more paint. As I explained to the folks at the paint counter, more paint is not needed; this is an 8x10 room with 7 windows and French doors and thus only about 150 square feet, if that, of painted walls. Had I known two coats would be required regardless, I wouldn't have purchased the more-expensive Marquee paint. Apparently this isn't a reasonable line of thought. I was very disappointed to learn they wouldn't even refund me the difference in cost, which is all that I requested. Will not buy paint here again. I should have known better; I'm normally Benjamin Moore loyal, but I was willing to gamble that big box store paint has improved. Clearly it has not.

When they stated that it would only require one coat I was skeptical. I had a forest green wall that I needed to make a light cream color and was not looking forward to having to spend all day painting so I paid more for the marquee paint. I wish I had done this earlier because I was absolutely floored by how well it worked. It may have been nearly twice as expensive as what I would normally buy but I had to use 1/2 the paint and 1/4 of the time to devoted to the project. The picture that I took was specifically to text to my wife to prove to her that it only took one coat because she did not believe me that it could be done. I am very impressed with the quality and ease of its use.
I recommend this product highly. We used 2 gallons to paint our living room, the hall way, and the bed room and we were changing the color of the rooms from a very dark green and blue to a light cream color. If you look at the picture you can see the green paint at the edge of the paint and know that it took only one coat.

After reading a lot of conflicting reviews we were not 100% sure on the paint but decided to go for it. We were painting over a dark maroon room as well as two lighter green and brown rooms. It worked great! Once we got the hang of using the paint (which was not too difficult) the 1 coat coverage was legit. The only spots we had to touch up were spots where we'd messed up by not using enough paint. The Statuesque color was a little grayer than we anticipated but we ended up loving it.
No offense but I think the people that are 1 starring this product suffer from user error.
(Also - if you're not using one of the Marquee colors they don't guarantee 1-coat coverage. That's in the written information.)

I was very skeptical about 1 coat coverage. I had purchased the same type paint in a different color a few weeks prior. It was almost white covering dark paint. I have to say I was impressed. I painted a 2nd coat due to uneven coverage, which I'm sure was due to my painting. The most recent purchase did not go very well. It was a medium yellow covering the same dark wall as the above mentioned. 1 coat, horrible. Thought a 2nd would do the trick like the other ones, nope. I did a 3rd, and you can still see inconsistent and different color & coverage. I was just finished after that. Luckily some furniture covers the front of that part. The rest of it looks great though!

Quality OK. Too hard to get coats applied evenly. Next time will buy separate primer and paint. Need an ultra thick nap roller to apply. Even high quality 3/8 in nap was not able to apply very well.

Upon removal of vinyl wall sticker I had to spackle and sand the wall in many areas. I was going to use primer and Sherwinn Williams paint but the employee in Home Depot store, seeing the picture and hearing the explanation of my problem, insisted that Marquee paint will cover the wall in one coat without even using the primer. I should have never listened. After two coats of black color I still can see uneven coverage with roller marks. On top of that, despite waiting as recommended before applying second coat, the paint BUBBLED. I have NEVER experienced that with any other paint. Also, after drying, it acts like a chalkboard, you cant touch it or put anything against it as it will leave white, chalk like, marks. To say that I am disappointed would be an understatement.
