Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by beware of "one coat guarantee" I purchased this paint specifically for the one coat guarantee. I had planned to paint my fiancé's home office as a surprise while he was away on business; it was important that the chosen paint need one coat so it would have time to dry and offgas before the office would be needed again. (He works remote, so it's a daily-use office.) The prior wall color was a creamy white, and I chose a medium tone blue. I prepped the walls with diluted vinegar to ensure a clean surface. I applied paint as I always do: I edged first with a Wooster brush, then coated the walls generously using a premium no-lint roller nap. However, once dry I noticed white spots showing through in various places. I did not have time for a second coat, so I quickly touched up a few key (eye-level) spots with a foam brush. When I asked my local Home Depot about the "one coat guarantee", offering to bring in pictures if needed, I was only offered more paint. As I explained to the folks at the paint counter, more paint is not needed; this is an 8x10 room with 7 windows and French doors and thus only about 150 square feet, if that, of painted walls. Had I known two coats would be required regardless, I wouldn't have purchased the more-expensive Marquee paint. Apparently this isn't a reasonable line of thought. I was very disappointed to learn they wouldn't even refund me the difference in cost, which is all that I requested. Will not buy paint here again. I should have known better; I'm normally Benjamin Moore loyal, but I was willing to gamble that big box store paint has improved. Clearly it has not. August 30, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good paint, not 1 coat coverage I was very skeptical about 1 coat coverage. I had purchased the same type paint in a different color a few weeks prior. It was almost white covering dark paint. I have to say I was impressed. I painted a 2nd coat due to uneven coverage, which I'm sure was due to my painting. The most recent purchase did not go very well. It was a medium yellow covering the same dark wall as the above mentioned. 1 coat, horrible. Thought a 2nd would do the trick like the other ones, nope. I did a 3rd, and you can still see inconsistent and different color & coverage. I was just finished after that. Luckily some furniture covers the front of that part. The rest of it looks great though! September 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Love my new kitchen paint color The paint is easy to apply, love how my color choice turned out. September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Amazing cover, one coat, beautiful color. Totally worth the money!! September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best paint I've ever used! This really does cover in one coat. My professional painter was reluctant to use my Marquee paint because he usually uses Sherwin Williams. He claimed there is no such thing as a one-coat paint. After using Marquee, he admitted it actually did cover in one coat. The finished product is beautiful. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent coverage and finish Exceptionally even coverage and finish. Covered a darker color with a lighter one and needed only 1 coat except in the corners where a brunch was used to apply the paint. During process of choosing pain colors, tried some paint from Dunn Edwards and was shocked by the difference in appearance and coverage. Marquee is the best paint I have ever used. July 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Junk This stuff is nothing more than tinted, watered down putty. It'll stick in one coat to your brushes, rollers, and pans but forget it sticking to the walls. When you do slather it on thick enough to settle into the dimples of walls it'll bubble and stick to itself, coming off in sheets of gummy, rubbery junk. There is no one-coat paint. Get used to putting on a second coat. August 27, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great coverage! This stuff had great coverage. I did have to go back over a few spots here and there, but over all I was very pleased with this paint. August 16, 2016
