I noticed in the description it doesn't mention it contains latex. Is this true? I am highly allergic to latex.

Hello Lily,
We appreciate your question. Our paints don't contain the kind of latex that triggers latex allergies, like the kind that's found in surgical gloves which is made from things like tree sap. Because of these and other differences, natural latex allergies are not something that needs to be concerning. Hello Tam,
Thanks for your question. Yes, this can be used in a bathroom and a kitchen. Behr semi-gloss paint is an option, too, but the matte is formulated to work sufficiently well in these higher moisture areas.

Answer:
Hello Tam,
Thanks for your interest in Behr paint. Yes, this product can be applied to both bathroom walls and ceilings. Although it's a lower sheen paint, it has the durability features needed for these surface types--scrubbability and a moisture-resistant finish. Well wishes for your project!

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 445 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Paint I've ever used! Let me preface by saying I am a HUGE Behr Ultra paint fan. We have used it throughout our old home, which is now a rental, as well as our current home. I decided to try the Marquee since we were going from a very dark mossy green, to a light and airy grey in our kitchen. Due to the one-coat coverage I was willing to fork over the extra money as this project was in our kitchen and there are so many things to go around, I didn't want to have to go back again. I found the Marquee paint way too thick and very difficult to work with. By the time I would do trim work in one area and come back with a roller, the paint would be sticky and cause the hand painted trimming areas of paint to come off and cause areas of poor coverage (this is all in a span of 5-10 minutes). I found it bled through all of my tape (and I usually never have that problem). There also ends up being speckled spots in a lot of places; it seems like when the paint dries, it pulls away from itself in certain spots. Very frustrating. I also found a lot of difficulty in my corner points (exterior corners, not interiors). When I would try to do a straight line to finish off the paint as the other wall meeting it was a different color, I found it very hard to work with; most likely due to its viscosity. Lastly, I had a major issue with the paint coming off when I removed the tape between my sink and window (see picture). I don't know if the paint just dried too fast, because I will do one wall and then remove the tape (always my normal practice). I am by no means a newbie at painting. I just completed painting our office a couple of weeks prior (with Behr Ultra). Overall I will stick with Behr Ultra... I find the same coverage without all of these issues. For being a Behr product I'm very disappointed. October 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Covers great with one coat Our daughter just went off to college so we thought we would surprise her and remodel her bedroom. This paint went beautifully over the previous blue paint that she wanted when she was little. One coat really did the job. I ran out right at the end and had to buy another but it was worth it. I will definitely buy this brand again for our next remodeling project. September 20, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Two coats are better than one The end result was very nice but it took two coats to achieve. I must admit the room used to be a dark brown so one coat would likely not have done it with any paint. September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Purchase EVER Tried the Behr Marquee 2 years ago to paint a recently acquired Condo and had it rented before closing. Thought we would try this paint, as in a hurry to have ready for the tenants. Fabulous, LR, Kitchen, 2 bathrooms & 2 bedrooms done in a weekend and ALL covered in 1 coat. Could not believe. Just used again in another condo, covered in 1 coat a "Horrible" dark brown, almost black, 1 coat coverage with a light grey..... could not believe !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finished a 3 bd, 2 ba, Lr, Great room. Dr. & kitchen in a weekend, 1 COAT !!!!! 3 gallons of paint. Cannot believe all of the horrible reviews, try again ! October 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I really didn't believe the TV Commercials but this paint is AWESOME!. I was a big Sherwin Williams fan up until now. I had seen the TV commercials for Behr where the guy painlessly transforms a dark grey room to light with 1 coat and thought...yeah right, but figured I would try it out! I was so sick of my dark rust colored walls and needed a change and was prepared to apply a couple of coats if necessary. Well to my amazement, all it took was ONE coat and the results are fantastic. No touch-up or anything. I used a sheepskin roller and maybe this made a difference but I found it was so easy to work with and it went a long way as 1.5 gallons covered a large family room and kitchen. It dries fast but I had no problem with the pre-trimmed areas (ceiling, around windows doors etc.) matching with the rolled on paint. I think it does need constant stirring when you are refilling your trays or containers because it's a thicker paint and you may notice some separation, but it's not a big deal. Home Depot always includes a couple of good stirrer sticks. From now on, this is my go-to paint and I will highly recommend it to everybody! Just LOVE it! PS: Why buy a cheaper paint that you might have to buy double the amount because you have to apply 2 coats? This really works! August 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by WORST PAINT EVER!! Don't waste your time & money. 1- Extremely impossible to do touch-ups with. 2- Leaves horrible roller/streak marks on EVERY wall! 3- Total waste of money and time! We are professional painters and own our painting company; we have used Behr premium paint a few times and have liked working with it. We had a 2500 sq ft house to paint, so we decided to give the Behr Marquee paint a try, since it was one of the best quality paints the HD rep said, what a huge mistake!!! To start off we bought 13 gallons total of Marquee paint, in 4 different colors. (3 bedrooms, painted a different color each, and a gray color used in all the main areas of the house). Walls had a very light orange peel texture. We worked on one wall at a time, with one painter doing the ceiling cutting with a brush and around the trim, doors that were taped off, and another painter rolling the walls behind him. There were streaks marks in every single wall that we rolled; we tried doing a 2nd and even a 3rd coat, on some walls, to no avail, the roller marks were still everywhere! No, the roller wasn’t dry, it had enough paint! Brand new 9” roller with 3/8” nap was used. We tried 3 different rollers and nothing made those horrible streak marks go away, it was impossible not to notice them! As anyone knows it is very hard to roll wall after wall without having to do a few touch ups, well the Behr Marquee CANNOT be touched up at all! After the paint had dried we tried to do a few touch ups and that looked even worse than before! You can clearly see the few areas were we tried to fix what was needed, touch ups looked a different sheen with lots and standing 10 ft away you can spot the touch ups that were done. So, what did we have to do to fix the many issues we had with this paint? 1- We had to go back and repaint a few of the rooms where we had used "Behr Marquee" with Sherwin Williams paint, because the streak marks and touched up spots were awful! 2- We spent twice as much money because of the paint we had to purchase to repaint. 3- Time is money! We spent about 3 extra days in that house because of the issues with having to repaint not just one room but a living room, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom, master bathroom, 2 bedrooms and a hallway. (Almost the entire house! The other rooms we just used Sherwin Williams paint from the start, didn’t even bother with the Marquee) 4- We had 4 gallons of Behr Marquee that we didn’t use because we started noticing the issues before we had used them, now they are wasted money. I don’t even want to give away the paint because I know what a hard time people will have with it. Needless to say, we are very, very disappointed in your paint! We expected Behr Marquee to be of much better quality then what we got (we paid $40+ per gallon for it). We WILL NOT use this paint ever again and will make sure that all our painter colleagues and friends know about the bad quality of Behr Marquee so they don’t make the same mistake we made. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Very poor paint choice, covers dark colors though This paint does go on in "one coat", but it chips and scratches terribly. I am really unhappy with it. I spent a few hundred dollars doing a front entry, living/dining room and the walls just scuff up so badly. It's only been just under a year since I painted. Luckily I didn't get around to doing the rest of the house, I will use another paint when I finally get to that. I would not buy this paint again, I would not recommend it at all. At the time they didn't have a satin in this formula, I had to go with the matte and it's awful. October 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst paint I have ever used. When I opened this paint and went to pour it into my roller pan a thin dried clump of paint fell into my container. Makes me wonder if the paint sat on the counter for awhile at HD. The paint is thick, sticky and wants to roll up on itself. Once dried the paint peels off! July 13, 2016
