I used a Marquee paint on my bathroom (which has been painted before using Behr Ultra) and it really did just take ONE COAT. What is really awesome is that the first coat went on quickly and smoothly. It never once splattered, dripped, ran........FANTASTIC!
I want to note that in my bathroom I used Marquee Dutch White semi-gloss color from the Marquee color palette. I painted over an Ivory/Tan light color. The color I painted over was darker than the new color but not considered a dark color.
I highly recommend this paint! I enjoyed every minute of painting....finally!

I was covering up a fairly dark shade of paint. I was talked into using Marquee by the Home Depot paint expert. She raved about the Marquee guarantee for one coat paint coverage. So I bought & used it. The paint is so thick and heavy that it drips and sags on the wall as you apply it. I let it dry and smoothed it out by using an electric sander on many areas, it was that BAD. Most areas were still bleeding through a very noticeable amount. I would stay away from this brand. All the extra work with sanding & having to do a second coat is definitely not worth the money or time for this paint!

I bought this paint to paint my hallway it was suggested to me by the clerk at Home Depot. I have always used Behr paint and loved the results not this time. My hallway is going to have to be re-painted since it looks awful you can see lines in the paint everywhere. Not worth the money at all!!!

The paint was runny, it did not go on evenly, and it did not cover in one coat. I purchased enough to cover my bathroom in one coat, but had to purchase an additional quart when the first coat ended up looking terrible. Strangely, I tried to clean something from the wall using only a paper towel and water, and the paint started to come off of the wall. This was one week after I'd painted, so I doubt it was an issue with dry time. I recommend you use a different paint. I've had luck with Behr Paint and Primer In One in the past, and wish I would have gone with that for my bathroom.

Rolls terrible and takes twice as long to put on. One gallon only covered two regular walls and one had a double window. Uses twice the amount of paint and costs more. Edging is difficult and needs several coats over a sky blue wall, with a brush. Needs thick nap to coat well and a brush or pad does not do this. Still could use a second coat, too. Finished job with Behrs Premium Plus Ultra. It goes on easier and costs less. Also, needed only a second light coat.

After painting both bathrooms, same product, different colors, I taped off the trim to finish the task...sales clerk recommended 24 hours dry time. I allowed for 72. When I removed the tape after finishing trim, the paint peeled right off the walls. It has a stretchy, plastic-y feeling to it. It's dry, it's just plastic-y and prone to peeling.
I used the eggshell finish in two other rooms and it didn't peel with the tape and the eggshell finish covers in one coat, the gloss does NOT! I'll just stick with another paint product after this.

I hired a professional painter so this review is not based on my own experience. He said Marquee paint is hard to work with because it's too thick and "skins" quickly. He thinks it needs a second coat. He hopes not to work with it again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PJCC Shiny! Great appearance on a high traffic door. Quick, easy application.
The bedroom door takes more abuse than any door in the household. I come and go with cat food, while they paw at the door. I hand carry water to the shower, spilling it whilst turning the door handle.
The frames were never painted well, not only are they dirty but chipped. The door also has the moniker as the worst bedroom door and lock ever. it had to be kicked in once.
One coat covered stains, prints and nicks in the door, while the cat pawed the other side ready to pounce on the newly painted door. The paint dried quickly. The frame truly needs a 2nd coat, but
I don't believe they used primer to paint it the first time.
Excellent coverage, easy to use. It sits across from a door I painted with an eggshell paint, the
semi-gloss is more practical for a high traffic door. As a non-smoker, having lived in a household
with a smoker, the white clean appearance of the Marquee Linen is exactly what I wanted.
