After reading a lot of conflicting reviews we were not 100% sure on the paint but decided to go for it. We were painting over a dark maroon room as well as two lighter green and brown rooms. It worked great! Once we got the hang of using the paint (which was not too difficult) the 1 coat coverage was legit. The only spots we had to touch up were spots where we'd messed up by not using enough paint. The Statuesque color was a little grayer than we anticipated but we ended up loving it.
No offense but I think the people that are 1 starring this product suffer from user error.
(Also - if you're not using one of the Marquee colors they don't guarantee 1-coat coverage. That's in the written information.)

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE this product. Cover and cleanup are great. 1-coat to beautiful. Painted a busy hallway and looked as good the day I painted as it did when we sold our home 6 months later. I am re-painting our new home with the same product.

Haven't tried the paint yet. Just wanted to say thanks to the young lady and young man for their help getting the right colors that my wife wanted. To often employees get bombarded with bad reviews or remarks. Sorry, was in a rush and didn't catch their names. But from the paint section to checkout 5 stars.

After reading several reviews on the Marquee, and this color, I was left conflicted! Well, not anymore! This paint is amazing, it really does hold true to its claim. It went on smooth, and covered a dark eggplant-gray with only one coat! I would say the color is more vibrant on the wall than the paint chip. I would say it is more along the lines of a sea-foam esque color, but beautiful none the less !

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by ppo8820 Not better than regular Behr paint at all!
I bought this in a cream tone to cover some ugly orange-ish color in my office. I also bought a can of English Channel blue in the regular behr. They both required 2-3 coats of paint, but the Marquee costed way more, and did nothing special. The blue actually covered a bit better, so going forward I will just get the cheaper Behr paint since the expensive stuff does nothing special.

We painted two bedrooms with this paint. Every time we pulled the tape from the trim it peeled off parts of the paint. We used two coats for each room. We will try a different brand than the marquee and possibly even Behr. The color is nice but the peeling is not.

bought this because of the conversation with the salesperson telling me about the guarantee of 1 coat coverage BUT it does not apply to the white color. The salesperson was talking about the guarantee and I suppose she like me didn't know it wasn't applicable to the paint we were loading in my basket. Hindsight it did cover most of the wall but not all (water spots ) on existing Sheetrock..

I was painting a 24 ft x 16 ft room that was painted red. I chose a Mushroom color and I was sure I that I would have to prime and do 2 coats of paint. I did some research on the Marquee brand and went to speak with the Home Depot paint person. He guaranteed that one coat of Marquee would do the job. If it did not they would give me another gallon free to finish the job. As I was applying the paint I was amazed that it did look like it was working as promised. The next morning I went around the room with a bright work light and it did cover in ONE coat using the entire gallon on this job. I am impressed? Once I got going I made sure to cover the roller good each time I dipped. Roll on as explained any good instructions tell you but don't over roll. Lighten the pressure as the paint covers and roll it out to get a great finish. I did this whole room with one gallon at about $42, a great deal. Getting ready to do a couple more rooms and this will be my paint to use.
