I sprayed this exterior paint on old two coated ceder shakes. It took two coats. I used an airless sprayer that I rented from Home Depot. I used the satin and the not so heavy coat did the trick. The color looks great and it really nice that on these rough cedar shakes that there is a little shine too them. I bought some other color for the concrete and that went well also

Finally got to try this paint. We have had cold and rain--not painting weather. We have a wooden shed--pre 1985 that has never been painted. We used the red for the peaks, trim and door. Went on with ease and covered excellently with one coat.

We purchased 20 gallons of this paint in one gallon buckets because the 5 gallon buckets weren't available at the store in our town. It most certainly doesn't cover in 1 coat; I had to do 2 coats. Even with 2 coats, anything that scratches it completely takes the paint off (not just a scratch, it goes all the way down to the primer). This is quite frustrating with an expensive paint and a new $500,000 home. I couldn't be more disappointed. Now we have to figure out what to do...I don't want to finish our home with this paint, yet don't want to start over again as it is very time consuming. I will never recommend this paint nor will I purchase it again after this project is done. When it needs to be repainted (which won't be long since it already has paint peeling off and we don't even live in it yet), we will go with another brand, hands down.

I put one coat of this on my new storage shed last fall. One coat was sufficient to cover pre-primed T-111 "smart siding", and if I had actually finished the shed last fall, that is all it would have gotten. The shed made it through a rough winter and the paint looked just fine, but for dirt and some scrapes from carelessness with the snowshovel and the bicycles. I finished trimming out the shed this summer and then gave it a second coat to cover the dirt, dings, scrapes and dents incurred as I finished the trim and landscaping. One thing I noticed was that the second coat blended just fine with the first, indicating that the paint did not fade noticeably over the winter, and that If necessary, I can touch up without needing to paint the entire structure.
I stored the paint in an unheated garage over the winter, and while I obviously did have to mix it well before use this summer, it was smooth and free of lumps even after mistreatment.
I will likely buy Behr Marquee when I paint the house.

I've used several varieties of Behr paint in the past, but this was my first experience with the MARQUEE line, and I must say, I'm pretty impressed. I first used it to paint some newly constructed outdoor furniture. It provided excellent coverage on unpainted wood. I used this paint with the Wagner Flexio 590 & it only took one coat. It performed well with the Flexio - it's thick paint, but not thick enough to trouble that particular sprayer. I really like the satin finish - it gives it a nice polished look without being glossy.
Noting Behr's claims of a stain-blocking feature, I set about testing that out a bit - I smeared dark mud from the flower bed on one panel & splashed some Frank's Red Hot sauce (hey, it was handy) on another panel. I let both of these sit until they were at least mostly dry. And guess what? Both wiped off without a trace. I wasn't particularly shocked that the mud easily wiped off, but I was surprised at there wasn't any trace of the hot sauce left. I realize that's not a complete panel of potential stains, but it was enough to get my attention.
The chairs have been in the yard for 10 days and weathered a few downpours without issue - including one within 24 hours of being painted.
Overall, this seems like a very high quality paint. If you're painting an area that is high traffic, stain prone and/or exposed to the elements, you're not going to regret going with MARQUEE.
