Answer:
Hello Holly,
Thanks for your question. Yes, since it the handrails and spindles would be vertical areas that don't get walked on, the Marquee Exterior Semi-Gloss would be fine. You might also consider our other paints like like Premium Plus Exterior and Ultra Exterior.
Well wishes for your project!

I WOULD USE A SEMI GLOSS PAINT. THE MARQUEE IS NOT NEEDED. JUST A CONTRACTOR GRADE SEMI GLOSS BEHR PAINT WILL DO FINE.

Answer:
Hello Danny,
Thanks for your question! Yes, it can be used on aluminum siding. For aluminum, it wouldn't need a separate primer but please be sure to clean the surface of any contaminants before applying the paint.
Well wishes for your painting!

I WOULD USE A PRIMER ON SIDING. I WOULD LOOK INTO GETTING A CHEAPER BEHR PAINT. BEHR IS A VERY GOOD QUALITY PAINT, THEY JUST MISSED THE BOAT WITH THE MARQUEE LINE...

I WOULD USE A PRIMER AND USE A CHEAPER PAINT, THAT WILL WORK JUST AS WELL. BEHR IS A GOOD PAINT. YOU DO NOT GET ANY BETTER PRODUCT BY PAYING FOR THE MARQUEE.

Answer:
Hello NewJack,
Thanks for your question. Right, this paint is only meant for exterior surfaces like siding or the outside of doors. Instead, consider our Marquee Interior Satin paint.
Well wishes for your project!

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 160 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks Beautiful On My House! I hired painters for the first time and asked them to use Behr Marquee paints that I chose for the exterior of my house. They used Taupe Tease for the main color and I absolutely love it! June 21, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by WORST PAINT, EVER!! HAD WHOLE HOUSE PAINTED. I DID NOT SEE IT BEING PAINTED AS I HAD A BROKEN ARM. WHEN I DID, IT WAS JUST PLAIN PAINT. I USED SEMI GLOSS AND THERE WHERE AREAS ON THE WALL THAT LOOKED FLAT OR AT LEAST A LOT LESS SHINNY. IT BUILT UP ON EDGES OF THE ROLLER AND CAUSED DRIPS, IT CLOGGED UP, IF IT SAT FOR VERY LONG. YOU NEED TO TELL PEOPLE THAT THEY NEED A SCREEN TO USE THIS PAINT!! AFTER THIS I HELPED MY DAUGHTER PAINT HER HOUSE AND WE USED DEPOT SEMI GLOSS AT 22.OO A GAL . AND IT COVERED JUST AS WELL AND DID NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS!! SO VERY DISAPPOINTED IN SPENDING THE EXTRA MONEY AND GETTING SUCH A POOR PRODUCT!!! NEVER BELIEVE THE COMMERCIALS!! IT DID NOT COVER IN ONE COAT!! NOTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT IT. I ALSO BOUGHT PAINT FOR 8 CONDOS THAT I RENT OUT AND USED THE 22 DOLLAR GAL PAINT AND IT IS MUCH BETTER!! June 11, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Needs more than one coat salesperson at Home Depot recommended the marquee. I asked him if he had used it etc and he highly recommended. Needed 2 layers. I wish I would have read all these reviews and not purchased the more expensive paint. I had a feeling this was nothing to work. Oh well. Corporations always trying new products to make more money. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by White isnt the best I have used Marquee exterior in other colors and been VERY happy with it. The White however is far from a one coat paint. I am painting over existing white and it will take two coats for sure. Price and application is great but not a one coat paint. The grays and greens have been great June 21, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Paint Ever This is the worst paint I have ever used. I am thankful that I only bought a sample to try on my brand new door. I bought the sample in Deep Crimson. Was skeptical about getting Marquee as I had read a review stating that it dries to quickly and will chunk. The paint manager assured me that this would not happen and I would not need as many coats of paint. I took it home to paint my door. The color is streaky. It is chunky in parts where the paint dried too quickly while still painting. And, for my THIRD coat, I will be purchasing Behr Premium Ultra Plus to hopefully fix the job. I am worried that this paint has ruined my new door! Don't be fooled by the claims that this is Behr's best product After renovating my home over the past year with Behr Premium Ultra Plus on most projects I have now learned that it's the way to go. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Leaves streaks. Don't bother. I spent ten dollars more to get the "one coat guarantee". This paint leaves streaks. I didn't get one coat coverage, so applied a 2nd coat in the places that needed it. Waited for it to dry only to see that the areas that I applied a 2nd coat do not blend in with the single coat areas, leaving roller brush streaks all over the walls. I used the "best quality" rollers. Walls were originally white w/satin finish. New color was "Tropical Sea" (turquoise) with satin finish, which I like the color. We have company coming over today and I have to put all the furniture back, just to re-do everything tomorrow. December 30, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by waste of time and money I bought 2 gallons of this paint, (fresh Crossant and dark crimson), followed all directions and steps for use, and could not be more upset with the results. I was attempting to cover a light tan color, and the dark crimson really showed us how crummy the paint is. Takes multiple coats, leaves roller lines, uneven coating because it dries so quickly. The best part? While pulling up painters tape around edges, it started pulling the paint up! It's so thick, you constantly have to mix it and good luck with a roller, it's a mess. The ironic thing, the fresh Crossant color gave us no isissues! Clean smooth finish, looks great. Maybe they need to adjust their tint formula? Both cans are marquee interior satin, so it must be the tint. December 30, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good for beginners I am a girl in 20s and never ever have expected that one day I would have to do the painting job by myself. I chose the most expensive one just for self confidence... This product worked very well under my clumsy rolling and covered everything I want to cover. I had the painting project done within 2 hours! February 17, 2016
