Hello NewJack,
Thanks for your question. Right, this paint is only meant for exterior surfaces like siding or the outside of doors. Instead, consider our Marquee Interior Satin paint.
Well wishes for your project!

I was hoping to rent a paint sprayer to apply this paint on my home's exterior and just wanted to know if it would work well with a good exterior paint sprayer. Thanks in advance if anyone knows.

Hi SideShowBob, Thank you for your question! On semi-smooth surfaces, use a high quality
3/8-1/2" nap roller cover, nylon/polyester brush or an airless sprayer (.015 -.021" spray tip, 60 mesh filter). On rough surfaces, use a high quality 3/4-1" nap roller cover. Do not thin if using a roller or brush; however, if using a sprayer and thinning is required, thin with water at a rate of no more than

Answer:
Hi Sam,
Yes, you may use Behr Marquee over an existing finish, just make use the current finish is in good shape, not pealing and is clean and dry. You also may want to lightly sand the wood to remove any sheen to assure good adhesion of the new paint.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 124 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks Beautiful On My House! I hired painters for the first time and asked them to use Behr Marquee paints that I chose for the exterior of my house. They used Taupe Tease for the main color and I absolutely love it! June 21, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Needs more than one coat salesperson at Home Depot recommended the marquee. I asked him if he had used it etc and he highly recommended. Needed 2 layers. I wish I would have read all these reviews and not purchased the more expensive paint. I had a feeling this was nothing to work. Oh well. Corporations always trying new products to make more money. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The best paint The best paint ever, covers very well, and goes on smooth June 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Paint I've Ever Used Behr Marquee is absolutely phenomenal. The paint goes on well and flows like an oil base. Brush strokes blend smoothly. The paint covers well and I've been able to successfully lay down only one coat most times. This paint sheds dirt like no other. I don't know what's in it, but dirt just wipes off. This paint is expensive, but considering that much of a paint job is the cost of labor, this paint actually saves me money. It takes less time to apply the paint and there's less damage when cleaning. The durability is good and the paint looks great! I highly recommend using Behr Marquee Exterior Enamel! February 9, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by waste of time and money I bought 2 gallons of this paint, (fresh Crossant and dark crimson), followed all directions and steps for use, and could not be more upset with the results. I was attempting to cover a light tan color, and the dark crimson really showed us how crummy the paint is. Takes multiple coats, leaves roller lines, uneven coating because it dries so quickly. The best part? While pulling up painters tape around edges, it started pulling the paint up! It's so thick, you constantly have to mix it and good luck with a roller, it's a mess. The ironic thing, the fresh Crossant color gave us no isissues! Clean smooth finish, looks great. Maybe they need to adjust their tint formula? Both cans are marquee interior satin, so it must be the tint. December 30, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Exterior Paint I've Ever Used I have used the Exterior Marquee since it came out, and It's hands down the best paint i've ever used on the outside of a home. The best part is the dirt an dust resistant finish. I told Ed (my Maui Behr rep) about how much I loved it, and a few weeks later, I was called for an over the phone interview for an article in the Home Depot Contractor's Magazine which is circulated on the East Coast. they published my pictures of my project and everything. I am a very happy contractor!! February 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easiest Paint job that I have ever done. I used this BEHR product to paint our Summer Cottage. It went on very nicely using an airless sprayer. I used 7 gallons and was very impressed with the coverage and consistency of color. My neighbor was so impressed that he used the same product on his Cottage. I would recommend this paint to anyone who needs to complete a paint project. There as no need for primer because it is included in the Paint which makes for a faster time to complete the job. February 9, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very Runny This was my second trial of using the Marquee line of Behr paints. The first time the paint was very thin like the cheapest paint you could find to buy. This time was no different. The Marquee paint is just a little bit thicker than water. Coverage is not like Behr says. I brush painted on white painted wood with this white paint. After 2 coats you could still faintly notice the original white color of the painted fascia. Dip your brush 1/2 inch into the paint and wait 5 minutes for it to stop dripping. I paint houses and this paint is junk for the money. It does dry well and is adhesive but it is not a top of the line quality paint. November 5, 2015
