This was my second trial of using the Marquee line of Behr paints. The first time the paint was very thin like the cheapest paint you could find to buy. This time was no different. The Marquee paint is just a little bit thicker than water. Coverage is not like Behr says. I brush painted on white painted wood with this white paint. After 2 coats you could still faintly notice the original white color of the painted fascia. Dip your brush 1/2 inch into the paint and wait 5 minutes for it to stop dripping. I paint houses and this paint is junk for the money. It does dry well and is adhesive but it is not a top of the line quality paint.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by lvjohn Best Behr Interior Paint Ever!
Easily the best Behr interior paint I've used. It goes on easily and uniformly. It covers extremely well including test patches of other colors and white primed joint compound fills of blemishes and dings in the wall board. There is next to no odor. The Almond Kiss color was perfect in my wife's eyes, so that makes it perfect for me too!
I estimated the square footage at 425 sq ft. Sure enough, I needed a second can to complete the room. The only problem I encountered in applying the paint was with the Wooster roller which started to shed a bit of lint near the end of the job.

I hired painters for the first time and asked them to use Behr Marquee paints that I chose for the exterior of my house. They used Taupe Tease for the main color and I absolutely love it!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cranerat Great paint!
The most expensive and highest rated paint Home Depot carriers in the Behr line. Gauuranteed to cover in one coat. No kidding as thick and as much latex is in this mixture. You could waterproof a boat hull with it made of screen. Dries fast and covers really well. Only reason I gave it 4/5 on value is the expense. But compared to all other brands, their top line that was equal to this, they were all more expensive. Some by 30%. If painting exteriors, use this stuff.

This paint rolls on like butter. I was convinced when the contractor used it on my remodeled kitchen and saw how it covered with one coat and the durability. It's the only paint that I have used on my house, interior or exterior, since 2010 and the only one that I will ever use. Great product!!

This stuff is AMAZING! No matter what your covering, one coat does it.

I've used Marquee interior paints extensively and generally been pleased with the results. I had high exectations of the exterior version, particularly given its price and positioning as Behr's premium paint. I knew there was no claim of one-coat coverage (which frankly I've seldom gotten from their interior paints). What I didn't expect at all was needing at LEAST three coats on top of a high-quality primer coat. Initially I used a top-of-the-line brush, then tried 1/2" and longer nap rollers. Nothing helped. I switched to a primer intended for peeling paint (w/especially good adhesion properties). Useless. So were four coats of straight Marquee over scraped wood siding/trim. I finally gave up and switched back to the exterior Behr, which did a fine job and put the Marquee to shame. Possibly i got a defective batch of Marquee, but their quality control is ordinarily excellent. I don't understand how Home Depot could promote such a substandard product, let alone charge this much for it. On the basis of my experience, I strongly recommend avoiding exterior Marquee.

Behr Marquee is truly an amazing product that, in my professional opinion as a painter with over 30 years experience, is a product significantly better than any of the other name brands while being more economical at the same time. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
