This was my second trial of using the Marquee line of Behr paints. The first time the paint was very thin like the cheapest paint you could find to buy. This time was no different. The Marquee paint is just a little bit thicker than water. Coverage is not like Behr says. I brush painted on white painted wood with this white paint. After 2 coats you could still faintly notice the original white color of the painted fascia. Dip your brush 1/2 inch into the paint and wait 5 minutes for it to stop dripping. I paint houses and this paint is junk for the money. It does dry well and is adhesive but it is not a top of the line quality paint.

I bought the top of the line paint with the promise of it covering in one coat. When I opened the brand new can, it had a big clump in it that appeared to be dried paint. I think I got old base paint. It was like it had dried but it was only a week since I had purchased it. I couldn't make the 80 mile trip back to the store so I had to use it. It did cover pretty well. I only had a limited number of places where I needed to recoat.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Larry1944 Behr Marquee Grass Satin Enamel Exterior Paint
Behr paint is good, but I wanted to make sure I had a paint that would really hold up to the weather. The clerk recommended Behr Marquee. I never knew they had this brand.. It was a little more expensive but I decided to try it. Well worth the extra money. Behr Marquee is fast drying , smooth, high quality, with amazing coverage. I have a background of painting because I own duplexes . By far this is the best paint I have ever used. Would definitely buy this paint again.

The title sums up my review pretty well. The HD paint clerk said the Behr Marquis paint should cover in one coat. One coat wasn't even close to being sufficient to cover light tan paint and spots of white primer with light yellow paint that was brushed on. In many cases it took three coats to cover. That doesn't make this bad paint....only time well tell how well it holds up. Considering what I was told about the coverage, and that it's their top line paint at nearly $50 gallon, I guess I expected more. Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore paints will be on my radar next time.

I hired painters for the first time and asked them to use Behr Marquee paints that I chose for the exterior of my house. They used Taupe Tease for the main color and I absolutely love it!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dissatisfieduser Behr Marquese does not cover white primed door casing.
Worst paint I have ever used. It couldn't cover the wood trim on the new door I purchased even with three coats! This was a waste of $44.

I have been happy in the past with the top line exterior paint. This time I was disappointed. The paint did not seem to have the same quality I had grown accustomed to. Don't know why

Very good coverage! I was pleased with the results. I painted an old weathered board fence and now everyone thinks it's a new fence!
