Answer:
Hello Pamela,
Thank you for your interest in our products. It’s hard to say when would be the right time to paint again since the weather plays a huge factor in that. However, with the proper preparation and application, our paint should last a long time.
Best regards,
Kevin

Hi rt,
Thanks for writing in! Exterior Marquee is not considered a waterproofer, but it's a great option if you want to protect the vertical surfaces of your deck; it will create a durable seal and protect the surface from the outside elements. Hope this helps! Best, Jeanette P.

Hi Mark,

This paint has a full primer in its formula, so you can use it to prime, or you can apply a separate primer like our Multi-Surface Interior/Exterior Primer & Sealer which can be viewed here: http://www.homedepot.com/p/BEHR-Premium-Plus-1-gal-Multi-Surface-Interior-Exterior-Primer-and-Sealer-43601/100205766. If your siding already has an existing coating on it, we recommend sanding the coating if the paint has any glossiness to it, cleaning the surface, and then applying your new paint. Answer:
Hi vicky,
Yes, we recommend cleaning the walls before you paint. You can use something like mild dish soap and water to wash them. This will make sure the paint will adhere properly. Happy Painting! - Sara

1-gal. #QE-04 Chimayo Red Flat Exterior Paint is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 136.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not impressed I've been an avid Behr Premium Plus Ultra user for many many years. I saw this commercial and thought I had to try this! For the extra cost, I'll stick with the Premium. Very disappointed. More money doesn't equal better coverage! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good.....not great I am a professional painter. Marquee is definitely good paint but paint and primer is one is a sales gimmick. Almost always need two coats unless you are painting over previously painted surfaces with the exact same or very similiar color. That's the bottom line.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous paint We painted our house a year and a half ago. It looks perfect and everyone, including all the neighbors, think so too. So glad we went with the Marquee. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Multiple coats, patchy coverage Behr Marquee Exterior Flat Pure white is my purchase. The product is being applied to previously painted flat woodwork in white. Coverage is patchy after 2 coats and will require a third. Brushes on like high gloss over a high gloss finish. Streaky on first coat unless you over apply. Will require multiple coats for an even finish on my project. Very disappointed considering this is Behr's top of the line. Should have purchased their lowest grade with anticipation of multiple coats and saved myself money. Behr interior is great although I have never used Marquee interior, but after the exterior performance I will not even bother with Marquee again. Will not / would not recommend this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from White isnt the best I have used Marquee exterior in other colors and been VERY happy with it. The White however is far from a one coat paint. I am painting over existing white and it will take two coats for sure. Price and application is great but not a one coat paint. The grays and greens have been great

Rated 3 out of 5 by from so so This paint does not hold up on a vertical surface, at all. It also does not repel dirt, as they advertise, any better than a cheaper paint It is however very thick and covers very well, it just doesn't live up to all the hype they advertise.
Date published: 2016-09-23
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not cover in 1 coat This paint definitely does not do what it says. We still needed 2 coats on all our interior doors. We could've paid half the price and still needed 2 coats.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TOO expensive For $47.98 per gallon, it is not a one coat paint. Really turned me off. Time will tell how it will hold up against mildew.
