Hi Gomer!
Thanks for your question. When using Marquee, the brushes can be cleaned with a little soapy water; no need for solvent. Hope this helps! Best, Jeanette P.

Answer:
Hi steve,
Yes, our Marquee Exterior Satin Enamel can be used on aluminum siding. We recommend scuff sanding the surface and cleaning it before painting to promote the best adhesion. Your first coat can also be used as your primer coat to help lock in any stains on the surface. Any additional coats will build up color and uniformity. Good luck! - Sara

The house we are painting is very old and has been painted with lead based paint on the exterior.
We are thinking to pressure was and brush off the loose particles of paint and wonder if covering with the Behr lead cast satin enamel exterior paint will cover the existing threat of lead base paint.
Please advise

Answer:
Hi 1DeterminedDonna,
Thanks for writing in! Although Marquee Paint can be applied over the lead based paint, it will not seal it. "Lead Cast" is the name of a Marquee color. Furthermore, it's highly recommended to wear a NIOSH-approved respirator to control lead exposure while sanding, scraping or removing lead based paint. Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 208 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Paint with advanced technology. This paint has several advantages that paints did not have before. I used to do the primer before, and wait for it to dry for a day or two to do the real paint job. This paint also includes the primer, so that step can be eliminated, which means it saves time and money. I just washed off of the cement board siding the day before painting with a garden hose. The weather was good and wind was calm. I did paint my back side of the house which is about 360 square feet (9’x40’) using a paint sprayer and a gallon of paint. It looks really great. I did a testing on the painted surface next day, after the paint was dry, to see if the claims of the manufacture were correct. I did throw some dirty water and mud on the painted surface. Next day, I sprayed off the dirt with a garden hose, and it was amazing; the dirt and mud came off clean, and the surface looked like I just painted it! It is really worth the money for this new technology paint, which is; dirt, stain, water, mildew and fade resistant. The best advantage of the paint that I like was the water resisting technology, which avoids the growth of mildew. I hope the pearl like appearance of the painted surface will stay as it is now, for long time to come. September 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by We used this in our kitchen and it came out great! This is excellent paint! It not only covers well, but it flows well too. Amazing paint! For this job, we used a sash brush and foam roller. We sanded the old oil based paint on the cabinets - we wet sanded to keep the lead based paint from kicking up dust. We took a chance and painted right over the old paint, without using a primer. Since it was very old oil based paint, we felt that the oils were no longer coming out of the paint and we could use a water based paint. The first coat went on well. We laid a thin coat and it his mostly everything. We decided to hit it with a second coat about 4 hours later and it again took well and flowed so nicely. That we over two years ago and the kitchen still looks great. I've included some photos. I will gladly pay a premium price for this paint - it's worth every cent! This is our new go-to paint! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Got to LOVE this Paint I have an outside storage building that was showing a lot of wear due to the extreme weather over the years and I decided to give it a fresh coat of paint. I researched the different options for outdoor paint products and found BERH MARQUEE Products that are stain-blocking with a primer included, fade resistant and also resists dirt. My storage shed is located near a busy road with lots of traffic and has a lot of wear. I have to say that I am very pleased with the results. I would highly recommend the BERH MARQUEE Products. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Behr Marquee Grass Satin Enamel Exterior Paint Behr paint is good, but I wanted to make sure I had a paint that would really hold up to the weather. The clerk recommended Behr Marquee. I never knew they had this brand.. It was a little more expensive but I decided to try it. Well worth the extra money. Behr Marquee is fast drying , smooth, high quality, with amazing coverage. I have a background of painting because I own duplexes . By far this is the best paint I have ever used. Would definitely buy this paint again. . September 28, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Paint I bought the top of the line paint with the promise of it covering in one coat. When I opened the brand new can, it had a big clump in it that appeared to be dried paint. I think I got old base paint. It was like it had dried but it was only a week since I had purchased it. I couldn't make the 80 mile trip back to the store so I had to use it. It did cover pretty well. I only had a limited number of places where I needed to recoat. September 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks Beautiful On My House! I hired painters for the first time and asked them to use Behr Marquee paints that I chose for the exterior of my house. They used Taupe Tease for the main color and I absolutely love it! June 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cleans up well I actually used it on adirondack chairs that sit out under a tree. We always have to wipe them down. With this paint in base white they clean up easily. October 25, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Expensive Paint That Doesn't Cover All That Well The title sums up my review pretty well. The HD paint clerk said the Behr Marquis paint should cover in one coat. One coat wasn't even close to being sufficient to cover light tan paint and spots of white primer with light yellow paint that was brushed on. In many cases it took three coats to cover. That doesn't make this bad paint....only time well tell how well it holds up. Considering what I was told about the coverage, and that it's their top line paint at nearly $50 gallon, I guess I expected more. Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore paints will be on my radar next time. October 11, 2016
