Customer Questions & Answers

Why are 5 gallon medium base satin not in stock in any stores?

Need 15 gallons satin (Gothan Gray) and would have to buy in 1 gallon. Must not want to sell to people wanting to paint the complete exterior of a medium sized home.
Asked by: Handyman
This is a question we struggle with with many of our 5 gallon paints, and it is a multifaceted problem. First, buckets require much more space than single gallons, so we can't stock everything we have in gallons also into 5 gallons. Second, most every paint has 3 bases: white, medium, and deep, which allows us to create the colors requested of light, medium, and dark colors, but this further complicates the space problem to stock everything in 5 gallons. We usually find more limitations with the darker colors that require deeper bases. Third, it is a cost vs. sales issues about what to stock, always a struggle and definitely arguable, but that is just the reality of retail. Usually there will be at least 1 store in the vicinity that will stock most hard-to-find items, but its not always the case, especially depending on your location. But, ordering online is always an option, although there will be longer lead time, so a bit of planning will go a long way for larger projects. Hope this helps you understand, and see you in the aisles.

Is this stain safe to use on the outside of bee hives?

Hello, Thank you for your interest in our products. Beehive M270-5 is just the color name of that specific color and it is not designed to be used on the outside of a bee hive. Best regards, Kevin

Can I use of floor?

I just purchased this paint for my steps, now I'm worried if they're appropriate for the step floors
Asked by: Sunshine
Hi Sunshine! Thanks for writing in. Marquee is not made to be used on floors- sorry! For long lasting results it's best to use a floor coating such as DeckOver or the Porch & Patio Floor Paint. For more information, please feel free to contact our Customer Care Team at 1-800-854-0133 (ext. 2). Best of luck on your project. Jeanette P.

I use this product on all my exterior paint jobs, I wont use any other product for exterior painting and I recommend this paint to all my owners. This paint is the best it gets, there is no other paint made better. The paint is thick which you know is quality paint not watered down like most your other paints. I have been using paint products for years and all the homes I have painted never have problems even going as far back as 15 years ago. This paint goes above all my expectations. Yes, it is a little pricey but you pay for what you get. It is worth every penny. Best product ever!

I used the self checkout, and later found that the $3.00 off per gallon was not programmed into the checkout system, but will return for the additional discount on the first four gallons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Behr Marquee Grass Satin Enamel Exterior Paint Behr paint is good, but I wanted to make sure I had a paint that would really hold up to the weather. The clerk recommended Behr Marquee. I never knew they had this brand.. It was a little more expensive but I decided to try it. Well worth the extra money. Behr Marquee is fast drying , smooth, high quality, with amazing coverage. I have a background of painting because I own duplexes . By far this is the best paint I have ever used. Would definitely buy this paint again. .

Behr paint is my first choice.I have been a loyal fan since I discovered it 15 years ago !! The quality is outstanding for the price.Easy to apply and clean up.The colors are 99.9% of the time accurate to the paint chip or item you might be trying to match. The results always meet or exceed my expectations. The Behr Marquee Exterior satin enamel was for my homes exterior vinyl shutters. It does feel like you are laying on a film of liquid plastic but its application was perfect for the project. No drips, runs, blotching ,pilling, and quick drying... just in time for those pop up Southern storms.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Paint I bought the top of the line paint with the promise of it covering in one coat. When I opened the brand new can, it had a big clump in it that appeared to be dried paint. I think I got old base paint. It was like it had dried but it was only a week since I had purchased it. I couldn't make the 80 mile trip back to the store so I had to use it. It did cover pretty well. I only had a limited number of places where I needed to recoat.

I purchased 9 gallons of Behr Marquee, doing so in three purchases (4 + 3 + 2 gallons). All were mixed to Sherman-Williams 6100. All 9 cans color matched, albeit, the color was notably lighter than that produced by Sherman-Williams. As I was completly repainting my house, the color differential was not important. Of some concern, the first 7 gallons were notably thick - very high viscosity. Great to use, great coverage, very little roller splater - a great paint, truly love it. The final 2 gallons were noticeably thinner - color matched the previous, the finish is the same (I think), however, I have my doubts that "Marquee" paint was in the cans - suspect the cans contained some lesser grade. Just a heads up mention. All around, HD Behr Marquee is the paint I will use for any future projects.
