I can not speak for those who use rollers to paint. I wanted to cover in one coat because of the dark colors I was trying to cover in large rooms. I used 1", 2" and 3 " brushes. It really didn't cover in one coat, but with touch ups. I am impressed with the elegant look of my formerly dark purple living room that opens into the formerly dark red dining room. It was a bit like, "painting with pudding", but my husband can not believe how well it is turning out. I've painted the walls, crown moulding and baseboards the varnished ivory and the ceiling is white, as are the switch and socket covers. It is gorgeous!

Previously, I reviewed Behr Marquee in matte finish in the Green Dynasty. I gave it five stars - it covered in one coat - looked fantastic. So I thought I was a convert. Decided to go exclusively with Marquee to finish the remaining rooms in my house. Selected Varnished Ivory semi-gloss for the bathroom. The product is terrible. Does not cover in one, and barely two coats. The only chance of getting one coat coverage is making the paint so think it trips down the wall. Not a fan. Complete waste of money.

The room was perfectly prepared, sanded, washed, temperature and humidity controlled. This paint is absolute trash. This paint is obscenely sticky, after a couple passes, it clumps on the wall and is impossible to smooth out with a brush, because you can't spread it out without ripping it off the wall, it will run. The coverage is poor, and does not even cover the previous paint well. Just stay away, it's super frustrating and an utter waste of time. Now i have to resand the walls and wash them again.

Used Behr Marquee Interior paint with Ancient Scroll color on white prime plaster walls. Resutls werer very bad, not close to one coat. When I applied on the wall it looked well coverd and I felt happy with the results, but when it had light and dark areas on the wall. In addition white, primed areas shown through. Lastly it consume a lot of paint. In a very small roon 8 X 8 room, with two windows and a door, I used nealy a galllon of paint.

Absolutely not a single coat system. Bought Ivory Paper to cover over a light grey wall. Need to paint at least two coats and three in some cases to cover. Very disappointed and not happy with Home Depot supporting and selling such shaky products.
