How many square feet does one gallon cover?

Two coats
Asked by: Suzie
Hi Suzie, Thank you for posting your question! The Marquee Interior Semi-Gloss Paint can cover up to 400 square feet per gallon for one coat. If you choose a color from our One-Coat Hide Collection, you will only need one coat. Happy painting! Best, Amanda

Customer Reviews

8 oz. #MQ3-41 Moongaze Interior/Exterior Paint Sample is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome job! I used a Marquee paint on my Kitchen (which has had only cheap builder paint on it). What is really awesome is that the first coat went on quickly and smoothly. It never once splattered, dripped, ran........FANTASTIC! I want to note that in my kitchen I used Marquee Moongaze satin color from the Marquee color palette. I painted over a darker beige color. The color I painted over was darker than the new color but not considered a dark color. It was also the original cheap builders paint I painted over so two coats were needed (although my bathroom, which has been painted before, only required ONE coat). It may seem expensive at first but when you only have to buy one can instead of three it comes out less expensive. Also, I tend to apply paint a little on the thicker side and use high quality supplies - what you use to paint with is just as import (I've realized this over the many years of painting walls). Another thing I do is line the paint tray with foil that I change out so as not to get dried paint lumps on my walls. Clean your walls too (but don't do what my mom did and use Murphy's Oil Soap...my father couldn't figure out why it was so hard to paint his walls....he tried all kinds of different paint brands...lol). What supplies you use and how you prep your walls have a big effect on how paint looks on your walls, no matter what paint brand you use. I highly recommend this paint! I enjoyed every minute of painting....finally!
