Hello Brian,
Great question. We recommend allowing the coating to fully cure for a minimum of 72 hours before driving on it. For extra precaution, we'd suggest parking on cardboard for 2 weeks.
Best regards,
Kevin

Answer:
Hello osu16,
Thanks for your interest in our concrete stain. Yes, this product can be applied to a pool deck (just not to the inside of a pool where it'd be submerged under water). Please note that the higher moisture of a pool deck may shorten the lifespan of the coating. For best results, please follow all label instructions. Well wishes!

Hi xxxxxxxxx,
Thanks for your question. Applying our Concrete & Masonry Bonding Primer will increase adhesion, but it's not necessary. We do recommend etching the bare concrete beforehand though. This will make sure the stain penetrates and adheres properly. Best wishes! - Sara

It's an older fireplace, would cleaning be required first? Also, what about a primer and sealer? Thank you!

Hi Merekat001,
Our Solid Color Concrete Stain will hold up to foot and vehicle traffic, unlike our paint. It is also suitable for exterior surfaces, so it's durable enough to hold up against the outside elements. Whether you decide to paint or stain your fireplace, we recommend cleaning the surface first so it's free of dust, chalk, mold and mildew stains, loose and peeling paint and all other
foreign substances. After the surface is clean and dry, you can apply your stain or paint to the bare brick. Also, please make sure to only apply your coating to areas that will not get too hot to touch with your bare hand. Applying a separate sealer afterwards isn't necessary. Good luck with your project! - Sara

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 43 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pool Deck in AZ I used this on my pool deck to quickly make it look nice before we sold the house. This product does not give you that textured "bumpy" layer on the pool deck, however it does cover the pool deck with a very nice coating of your choice of many colors. I only needed one coat of the product to do the job. It was easily applied with a normal paint brush and a normal roller (I used the broom handle on the roller so I didn't have to bend over the whole time). It took my wife and I 1 hr. 15 min to do the whole thing (the trim and all) in 106 degree temperatures with no direct sunlight on the deck itself. It has been very durable and I would highly recommend this if you need a economic yet beautiful pool deck makeover. August 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very pleased with solid color stain This stain worked so well I felt compelled to write a review. I made sure to follow the instructions and couldn't be more pleased with the finish of the stain. I was staining a concrete deck area that was made up of slabs poured at three different times, by three different vendors, with three different concrete mixes. This stain set a superb uniform color across all three areas. Looks great, love the color, a fraction of the cost of having a pro do a deck stain, highly recommended. July 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Concrete Stain This product was very easy to apply. A one coat application was all it needed to spruce up my lanai. Even looks better after I applied the wet look sealant. Color is a bit bright but looks great just the same. June 7, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not a true stain. It is really a paint.... It was easy to apply. However, it is not a true stain. A stain does just that...stains, or is absorbed, into the surface you are staining. Paint, such as this product, just covers the surface. And how do i know that? After my full third day, I hosed down the surface with regular hose flow. I did not power wash. And to my dismay, a small 2" x 2" area came off. My concrete has never been painted and is 17 years cured. This product, because it is already peeling, seems ok for a patio or sidewalk. And because of that, I rated it fair. But not convinced for a driveway. I hate to think what is going to happen when I roll my truck through it in two weeks. I want a product that works relatively quick. This product has too much wait time. July 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Product! As a Contractor I was looking for a way to create that mottled look of an acid-based stain(of which I'm not sure you can find anymore in Ca.)and having used Behr Products for years decided to try the Solid Concrete Stain. Well look at the photos! Product was applied to faded colored concrete with a few calcified and eroded surface areas. Entire area was prepped(power washed, etched, rinsed, neutralized, power washed again)which is key, and allowed to dry. Stain was then applied in several thin coats using 4 colors from the Behr chart. This product is thin, it's not paint so do not apply as such. Product adhered perfectly to surface, dried quickly, and subsequent coats bit nicely into each other. Successful project, product works & looks fantastic. Definitely recommend and will use again! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solid color concrete stain This is a great product if applied according to instructions. I first pressure washed my patio that had been in place 31 years. Then I applied the clear primer and after drying thoroughly I applied the concrete stain with a paint roller. It has now been in place for two years, and the only touch up I have had to do this spring is to paint over the high traffic areas that were showing a little thinning. This is used with patio furniture on it, and in the winter I shovel snow off from it so I can feed the doves and quail that come daily to eat the feed that I scatter on it. So the movement of furniture, scraping of snow shovel and bird droppings has very minimal affect on this stain. Would recommend this to anyone! March 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great Put this stain on a year a go on an area that was full of black mold every year. I used this after power washing the area and a year later it still looks like new. I live in SC. April 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CONCRETE STAIN LOOKS GREAT ON PATIO AND WITH LESS SUN GLARE. I applied the Behr Concrete Primer #880 first then applied this Behr Concrete Stain tint base white #800 on my 2 patios. The job was easy and painless. I used paint pads on extensions for both. It's been 2 months and the adhesion of the stain looks good and the color looks great. Job Background: the covered patio is 38 years old and the uncovered patio is 4 years old. Neither was discolored by old stains. August 21, 2014
