Hello Brian,
Great question. We recommend allowing the coating to fully cure for a minimum of 72 hours before driving on it. For extra precaution, we'd suggest parking on cardboard for 2 weeks.
Best regards,
Kevin

Answer:
Hello osu16,
Thanks for your interest in our concrete stain. Yes, this product can be applied to a pool deck (just not to the inside of a pool where it'd be submerged under water). Please note that the higher moisture of a pool deck may shorten the lifespan of the coating. For best results, please follow all label instructions. Well wishes!

Hi xxxxxxxxx,
Thanks for your question. Applying our Concrete & Masonry Bonding Primer will increase adhesion, but it's not necessary. We do recommend etching the bare concrete beforehand though. This will make sure the stain penetrates and adheres properly. Best wishes! - Sara

It's an older fireplace, would cleaning be required first? Also, what about a primer and sealer? Thank you!

Hi Merekat001,
Our Solid Color Concrete Stain will hold up to foot and vehicle traffic, unlike our paint. It is also suitable for exterior surfaces, so it's durable enough to hold up against the outside elements. Whether you decide to paint or stain your fireplace, we recommend cleaning the surface first so it's free of dust, chalk, mold and mildew stains, loose and peeling paint and all other
foreign substances. After the surface is clean and dry, you can apply your stain or paint to the bare brick. Also, please make sure to only apply your coating to areas that will not get too hot to touch with your bare hand. Applying a separate sealer afterwards isn't necessary. Good luck with your project! - Sara

1-Gal. #PFC-44 Green Adirondack Solid Color Concrete Stain is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Product! As a Contractor I was looking for a way to create that mottled look of an acid-based stain(of which I'm not sure you can find anymore in Ca.)and having used Behr Products for years decided to try the Solid Concrete Stain. Well look at the photos! Product was applied to faded colored concrete with a few calcified and eroded surface areas. Entire area was prepped(power washed, etched, rinsed, neutralized, power washed again)which is key, and allowed to dry. Stain was then applied in several thin coats using 4 colors from the Behr chart. This product is thin, it's not paint so do not apply as such. Product adhered perfectly to surface, dried quickly, and subsequent coats bit nicely into each other. Successful project, product works & looks fantastic. Definitely recommend and will use again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from concrete stain (BEHR) I have use this stain in the past me and my husband marked out 24x24" grid pattern on our cement foundation in our family room. Then took a saw with a grinding blade and etched out 1/4 inch deep on the grid pattern to give the elusion of large tile. I used three different stains for the color. Then actually used watered down grout to fill in the lines. and then used sealer for top coat. Freinds and family believe it is real tile. We have already etched our entry way and want to stain that to.If planing on trying this I would advise tarping off to other parts of the house the dust gets every where.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beauty on a Budget I bought a house that had cheap, yellowed vinyl floor tile that had to go! I'm on a really tight budget and decided to pull up the tile and paint the floor. I wasn't sure what I would get but anything would be better than what I had. I used the Behr conrete stain in my living room and I am so pleased with it. I'm going to use it in a bedroom next. Since I live in the desert I need something that is easy care and this is. There is such a wide range of colors and the finsih is quite durable. I only needed a gallon to do my living room and it will be the same for the bedroom. It doesn't get better than that!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pool Deck in AZ I used this on my pool deck to quickly make it look nice before we sold the house. This product does not give you that textured "bumpy" layer on the pool deck, however it does cover the pool deck with a very nice coating of your choice of many colors. I only needed one coat of the product to do the job. It was easily applied with a normal paint brush and a normal roller (I used the broom handle on the roller so I didn't have to bend over the whole time). It took my wife and I 1 hr. 15 min to do the whole thing (the trim and all) in 106 degree temperatures with no direct sunlight on the deck itself. It has been very durable and I would highly recommend this if you need a economic yet beautiful pool deck makeover.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from hard to clean Put down 2 coats of this stain over an original surface I believe was called flo-crete. Powerwashed the original surface and filled all minor cracks with concrete caulk. Looked like a new pool deck for a short time until I had to clean it. Dirt seems to stick and penetrate and has to be scrubbed off and still will not come completely clean. I do not recomend this product. Now looking for something more soil resistant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Renovated a Gross Sunroom Floor We purchased a home with an attached sun-room that we yearned to use for year round entertaining. But for whatever reason the previous homeowners had glued down a disgusting thin green industrial type of carpet throughout the 500 sq feet of the room. Whenever it would rain the water would get wicked into the carpet & then get sucked all the way through. I would have to always steam clean the carpet to get remove the dirt and put off any mildew. In spring and summer it was a dust catcher and full of stains. GROSS. So we decided to rip it out - we're on a tight budget so laying hardwood or tiles was out. This was a great alternative for 1/3 of the price! For less than $200 we were able to use all the Behr products (Epoxy Glue Remover, Primer, Paint and Sealer/Gloss) to come up with a clean modern look we love! We used Chestnut Brown - it really looks like melted dark chocolate. Easy to put down and quick to dry. In 3 days from start to finish we had a transformed room that looks really clean. Easy to clean up (just a wet mop) and keep shiny. As it ages we're getting a nice patina as well. WE LOVE IT. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not good for driveways I live in Florida and bought this to paint my boat landing and seawall, it worked great for that. I then decided to paint my driveway with the same thing but it is a disaster, after weeks of drying I still have tire stains even if the car is there for only a few minutes. Leaving a car for hours results in the whole area under the tire sticking to the tire when a car is moved. I prepped the driveway very well before applying so it is the paint. Just not strong enough for a driveway, good for patios and other areas not parked on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great paint very tuff stuff. We painted over a two year old acrylic surface that was chipped and stained in places. First, this stuff is more like a "paint" and not like a stain in sense that it is not transparent. Second, the job took three days but it was worth it. On the first day we cleaned the old surface with a brush and water with a little chlorine. The surface was completely dry by the second day. We cut in and rolled out half the surface in the morning then rolled out a second coat in the afternoon. On the third day the first half was hard enough to move the patio furniture on it so we could do the last half. In the morning we cut in and rolled out the last half and rolled out a second coat in the afternoon. The following day we replace all the patio funiture, it really looked great. That was year ago and now a year later it looks even better. It turned flat but retained the color perfectly and is hard as a rock much better than the original surface. After a year of Florida weather and dragging stuff around on it there are no chips and the color is solid. A very good paint and it was one third the price we paid contractors for the original surface. Great stuff.
