Can I use this on plywood?

I'd like to use this on the plywood that is in the attic closets (semi-finished space). The manual specifies masonry or concrete. May I use on the untreated plywood? Do I need a sealer/primer? Which one (please specify the item#)? Will it be a durable finish? Thanks!
Asked by: SHROKAmommy
sure, maybe it will even stick to that material

the specs say that a primer is required - what do I use for the primer for a garage floor / also how many coats of paint for a good look/

reviews said they needed to use two coats for a nicer look
Asked by: JPSki
Yes use a primer on Cement floor (Cement Sealer is recommend) if you want a longer lasting finish to paint .If you have old paint that is peeling remove with a scrapper or flat shovel basically make sure no loose old paint is evident it will still come up after applying new paint. I have applied one full coat and applied second coat on high use areas Tire track area or other

A primer is recommended for this product. Which primer is best?

Asked by: Breslini
Breslini, If using the Bher 1-part epoxy concrete floor coating it is highly recommended that you use a suitable bonding primer. This is the most important step in producing a durable, long lasting result. A finish coat is only as good as what is underneath it. The Bher premium bonding primer is recommended as it is formulated to be used with the 1-part epoxy finish coat, I believe it is model # 88001. The concrete should be clean, etched, and unpainted (raw) . You can buy a good chemical concrete etching solution at your nearest Home Depot. Read and follow the directions carefully as this is a serious product. If the concrete is new it MUST cure for a minimum of 30 days, 45 is even better. This is very important as the chemicals emitted during curing will turn the coatings in to dust. Hope this helps!

1-Gal. #PFC-75 Tar Black 1-Part Epoxy Concrete and Garage Floor Paint is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 65.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from 1 Part Epoxy Review Easy to apply and looks good. Poor bonding characteristics. Now that I have it down, I have to remove all of it completely (not fun) and get another product or live with a substandard product. Not pleased at all!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome garage floor for paint!! We purchased the 5 Gallon Behr concrete and garage floor paint... we were going to put down the roll out flooring or individual interlocking tiles but we didn't want to spend that much money so we decided to just go out on a whim at the last minute and get this paint. We also bought the black/white/silver behr flake additive. We put down 2 coats and sprinkled the flakes on... this was by far the best choice we have made. For the paint we chose a darker gray color called "top coat" in their brochure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ignore the bad reviews I painted my basement floor 3 years ago and it looks like the day I finished painting, even in high traffic areas. Success with these coatings is 100% dependent on following instructions and prepping the floor correctly. I can guarantee that the guy who brought the house and had peeling paint had a previous owner who slapped a coat on to look good, but failed to clean, degrease, and etch properly. This is great paint. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do Not Use Purchased this for our garage floor and our basement floor. Turned out OK on our basement floor. Our garage floor is horrible. We followed instructions exactly. We didn't put anything heavy in our garage for over a month - didn't even park our cars in it since we wanted to make sure it set and wouldn't peel up. Even two months after the application, we were still finding new spots where the paint came off. It especially is coming off under our tires. We don't even have huge, heavy cars! Now we're waiting through the winter but have to figure out how to fix it when the weather gets nicer. It'll be hard to fix just the spots since the speckling/painting will become uneven. I would not recommend this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of time and money Followed the directions to the letter. Power washed the carport, etched it with Behr etcher, applied Behr primer. Put on 2 coats of paint.,waited 2 weeks before we drove on it. Now after 8 months it's all coming off where the car tires contact the surface.Looks terrible. Absolute junk...last time I would buy Behr products. All the work gone to waste

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not durable for normal use I followed the instructions and used this paint for my concrete carport, front porch and rear screened patio I applied 2 coats with 24 hours dry time in between and allowed it to dry for over a week before parking or placing patio furniture. There were tire marks in the carport within days of parking The patio is scratched up from moving light patio furniture Front porch is scratched from who knows what? maybe a package delivery? dog feet? your guess is as good as mine My brother has also used the same paint in his garage twice with the same results as above We are in south Florida so maybe it's not good for humid climates? Not sure why this is sold as durable garage because it is certainly not that I guess it's better than nothing but certainly not a good product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
