Answer:
Yes, I don't see why not but wondered why you didn't instead go with Behr's color finish instead of the transparent which would have been a lot less work on your part.

Hello gg,
Thanks for your question. We can recommend this product on pressure treated wood after the injected chemicals have a chance to air out (typically 6-8 weeks, but please check with the wood manufacturer or vendor for their exact timeframe). Then, you would prep the wood as the label states before applying the finish. Well wishes for your project!

Yes, as long as you have a stain nozzle on your sprayer. It works fine by the way.

Several years ago, I applied 300 waterproofing stain on my fence. I am not finding this available anymore. Would this product be the same color as the old behr 300? The 300 was described as Natural Clear. This is said to be Natural Transparent. I just want to make sure this is a match.

Answer:
Hello Rich,
Thanks for your question. The color of our No. 500 Transparent Finish is the same as that for the discontinued No. 300 Clear Finish which is Natural. Both give a clear finish, and so our No. 500 would be highly similar to the No. 300. You might want to see the No. 500 finish on some sample boards at your local Home Depot store. Hope this helps. Best wishes for your project!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks Great Cordovan Brown tint, transparent stain. Easy to brush on, but very "watery" as it runs and drips very easily. After brushing to even out, it dried with a consistent color. Does not cover a great amount of fence, two gallons used on 40 linear feet x 6 foot high cedar fence and gate (both sides) .. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Behr The Best I Power washed and my daughter and I weatherproofed my front porch,It is absolutely beautiful.Goes on nice, covers well and drys quickly..Used 2 gallon and the porch is about 34 Ft long x 8 ft wide. I used Behr Natural 500 Weatherproofing wood finish. This porch was build in 2007.Looks like it was just built. September 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It wasn't a bear putting on this Behr product! This Behr deck weatherproofing transparent wood finish went on easily. I used a paint pad for the top of the deck and a small brush to get in between the boards for a bit more protection. It was smooth, dried within a few hours, so that I was able to give it an additional coat the next day. It's supposed to last up to 4 years with a second coat on it. It looks great! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good stain! This stain flowed very well through the paint sprayer. September 20, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cover Bare Wood With This Behr Built a small deck for our back door with pressure treated pine. I let the wood dry out for a few months and then it was time to stain. After some research I decided on this product. I prepped the wood with Behr All in One Cleaner, power washed, and light sanding to knock down any splinters from power washing. Here are some pros and cons from my experience: Pros: *Product works well - water beads up on surface *Very please with the color *Clean up was easy - water base *Penetrates the wood Cons: *Can be difficult to apply - I am very meticulous and want my finish to be completely uniform. This product behaves like a paint in that if you are not careful your brush strokes will show but it also behaves like a stain in that it will leave lap marks if you paint over an area that has already been painted. Despite these drawbacks I was still able to get a finish that I am very pleased with. A couple of pointers: *Do not skip the prep work - make sure the wood is ready for stain (read the instructions) *Paint with the grain (this is not a wipe on wipe off stain-you paint it on and leave it) and complete your strokes. *Keep a wet edge and complete one whole board at a time. If you apply product to only part of the piece and then come back to finish it there will be lap marks - the part you did previously will be darker. *Do more than one coat (I did two with one gallon) August 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Going on three years on our fence and holding up nicely. While this stuff, despite being "Natural" and "Transparent" does have a slight tint. But it is very agreeable. It actually improves the natural look of our wood! We've used it on two fences now. The first, the developer put in some cheap crud, allegedly redwood. It was warped, splitting and crummy looking for Redwoodwod. After forcing the developer to replace about 12 boards, we declared victory. Instructions recommend brushing this on. Used the 5" brushes. Came out looking terrific. Hired Fence company for new Redwood fence on another property. A better grade of wood, came out beautiful. Brushing, plan. one Gal. Each 16 feet. But We put it on heavy October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to apply, great color The rich red color looks so great on my fence with my holly trees in front of it with their bright green leaves. July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Shows natural colors in wood I really love how this transparent finish allows you to see the original colors and variation in the wood. I did not want a solid deck stain and this worked great. Keeps the water off and has done a great job protecting our deck. June 14, 2016
