I have a leak that I am unable to pinpoint. Water is dripping in from an exterior stone siding of my home to the inside of the wall. I caulked all the mortar joints and after spayed water on the exterior wall and water is still dripping in. If I cover the entire suspected area of the interior wall with your product, do you believe this may resolve my issue.

Answer:
Hello david78660,
We appreciate your question. Yes, the walls can be damp, but any active water leaks would need to be stopped before applying our product. Otherwise, the product may fail. If unable to stop the leaks, you might check with Home Depot for another brand's coating that could suit your project needs. Best wishes for your project!

Answer:
Although it can be used on masonry walls, it shouldn't be applied to an area with active water leaks.

The paragraph description says it withstands up to 12 PSI of hydrostatic water pressure. But the chart says up to 10 PSI. Which is it?

Answer:
Hello Kate,
We appreciate your question. If you've got cracks or gaps in the concrete slab, then yes, we'd recommend patching those areas with a fast setting hydraulic cement. Then, prime with a product such as our No. 436 Multi-Surface Primer & Sealer. Please be sure to follow all label instructions for best results. Well wishes for your project!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Masonary waterproofer paint Very easy to use no messy cleanup. Provided the protection and look I was in search for. October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tough paint I didn't do a whole lot of surface prep for a clean are block basement wall. Scraped it with a stiff brush and put on 1 thick layer with with a cheap brush with a few touch ups afterward. Some of the block was very slightly damp from condensation and it was no problem to paint over it. I just put a fan on it and it dried in no time. It was easy to apply, went on easily but not too drippy either. After a week or so I tested the adhesion with a wire brush and it took a lot of hard scraping to get through the layer of paint. It cleans up and touches up easily. There was a very slight ammonia smell but I had no problem painting indoors for hours with this paint. Its great if you can ventilate the area but it does not smell strong. July 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works to waterproof basement walls IF you follow directions Surface must be clean and dry - any moisture or efflorescence and it won't adhere, no paint will. You also need to solve leak source - paint won't stop a flood. I used it on a leaky basement laundry room. 1st redirected downspouts and graded soil away from house. Then cleaned interior bsmt walls with UGL etch. Spent 2 weeks with dehumidifier drying out walls to bone dry. Skimmed with Sacrete surface bonding cement and let dry completely (another 2 weeks). Two coats of Behr waterproofer and basement has been dry for a year - had been damp for 20! Take your time, follow instructions, and this is a great deal. BUT you need to solve your leak source whether drainage/grading or water supply/downspout. Wife wanted it tinted slate blue (over my objections) and must admit she was right, color looks good. Also have used this under foam board insulation when finishing basements. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product! Finally I don't have puddles on the floor of my Michigan basement every time it rains or the snow melts . I applied 2 coats to the walls with a large brush due to the stones. It was an easy Saturday morning . No mess, stays where you put it. Dries quickly and no smell. That afternoon we had an unexpected down pour and not a drop made it through. October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Good Waterproofer This waterproofer is great for sealing my wet basement wall. It's easy to put on the wall with the brush and regular roller. You have to put two coats, as recommended. After that it looked really nice when it's dried. It's way than other waterproofer, Dry-Lok (because the previous homeowner had used and it's peeling off like dried paint). This waterproofer had fixed my wet basement wall problem. A great product. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Waterproofing paint Needs two coats but works well. Goes on a little thick. October 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Appearance and Adherence Applied to unpainted dark gray cinder block walls to brighten appearance of basement After a month, it looks fine. Did not use primer. Brushed on heavy first coat to fill in pores; this was essential to obtaining good coverage in two coats. Applies smoothly, but allow plenty of time--especially for first coat. Paint is very thick and difficult to stir. I bought a gallon at a time, so HD could put paint in shaker shortly before application. Basement is dry, so cannot judge water blocking ability. No bad smell. Good appearance and adherence. HD Memorial week rebate of ten dollars per gallon was a nice added incentive. I'm a happy customer. June 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good quality After being disappointed with other Behr products and their performance this water proofing product applied easily and looks great. We will see how the durability is over time. April 19, 2016
