My garage floor is 55 years old. I used full strength degreaser and a deck brush. Hosed it off and let dry (85 degree days during summer time really help thinks dry and set-up nicely). I then applied the Behr clear bonding primer Model # 88001 let dry overnight and then applied 2 coats of the Silver Gray 1 part epoxy concrete paint. Second coating got the black/gray/white flakes hand sprinkled as I did a 7x7 foot area. Using a shaker bottle was a nice idea but takes to long; and by hand tossing is looks good and random with plenty of coverage. 20x20 foot garage with built-in cabinets so more like 18x18 foot. Used 2/3 gal primer, 1.5 gal of epoxy paint, and one bag of flakes. Been down for 3 months, no issues, even steam mopped it the other day. Spills wipe right up, a blower works great for regular cleaning.
The car went back in after one-day of drying on wax paper for 2 days. Then I had an older indoor/outdoor 10x8 foot rug and park the car successfully on that. The backing of the indoor/outdoor carpet doesn't pull up paint like regular carpet. Real happy with it no. Looks to be holding excellent and if needed in 4-5 years I'll redo the high traffic areas, but no touch-up so far at all. Roller with extender, cut-in brush, and a little masking tape and paper........that's it.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0Â by Disappointed Peeling, horrible product
Followed all the instructions including cleaning and degreasing the floor with Behr products. Made sure it didn't dry and cleaning off all the degreaser product per the instructions. . Primed the floor as instructed and finally sealed with two coats of epoxy allowing for drying time between coats. Didn't drive on the floor for 7 days per the instructions and after two weeks the epoxy has peeled right where the tires sit for both cars. I can understand touch ups on an annual basis, but two weeks! Waste of money and now I have to find an alternative to this horrible product.

I did my driveway and garage floor with this product I purchased at Home Depot. The driveway had an older 2 part epoxy coating with I cleaned with Behr degreaser and a power washer. There was no bare, untreated concrete. It went on like a dream, was very easy to do and looked beautiful. I waited the 7 days before driving on the driveway/garage to let the epoxy set up. It was been two weeks now and it looks awful. Black tire tread marks all over the driveway/garage. I am very unhappy with the results. I wonder if the reviews here with 4 and 5 stars wrote the review before driving on the driveway and would be curious he here their comments after living with the new coating after a month or two.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0Â by LoyalBehrClient Check Suppliers reviews before purchase
We purchased the Behr Premium 1-Part Epoxy based on the reviews found here. We applied the paint after following all prep instructions to the letter. After the recommended 7 day wait period, the paint scratched off with a fingernail. So after waiting three weeks to park our vehicle on the surface, we find that the paint is being pulled up by the tires. After noting the problems, we checked the ratings of the paint on the supplier's website. a well known box-store. The ratings on that site were considerably lower, with many warnings from other consumers not to purchase. Naturally, after the expense of purchasing the paint and supplies, not to mention the time and energy spent on the prep work, we are most disapointed. We now are faced with the big job of removing the Behr paint, and replacing it with a better product. Would appreciate Behr's feedback.
