I have a can of silver gray 901 and now see that it is discontinued. I need another can of the exact same color paint for a project. Is the silver gray of PFC68 the same color as the former 901? If not, can you provide the formula for 901 so my local store can mix it for me? Thank you.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for checking in! You're right, the color Silver Gray PFC-68 is the same as our previous pre-mixed 901. In case you need the formula anyway, it's: BL-1Y68, CL-148, RL-68 for a 1 gallon, tinted to base 900.
Happy painting!

As long as it is cleaned well and some water over the grease area doesn't have those standing bible looks you should be ok.
It's a one part latex epoxy product and covers well over what you mention. The issue if the grease of heavy stains not cleaned well is that it will cure over the surface but it could also peel in time because the product did not have a good surface to adhere to while curing

I'm thinking of using this product on my front porch and steps. It says on the label "Do not use on vertical surfaces". What do you suggest for the sides of the steps?

Answer:
I added the anti-skid powder bag that Home Depot sells to my gallon and pained the side steps and front step ares, including the sides of the steps and it works fine.
Maybe if you were painting a rock climbing wall I can understand that concern but it works real well on steps and all the areas of the steps. After over a year still can tell; less some not cleaned foot traffic

Hi Tim,
Thanks for your question! Because of the consistency of the 1-Part Epoxy, it may sag down the vertical areas. Thanks for your question! We don't recommend applying the 1-Part Epoxy to a concrete wall, but you'd like to use something like our Premium Plus Ultra Interior or Exterior paint, you want to make sure the wall is clean before painting. If the wall already has a paint or stain on it, you also want to make sure it's in good condition. If there are any areas that are peeling or flaking off, we recommend sanding these spots to remove the loose paint. But don't go crazy trying to prep for perfection.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.2 out of 5 by 349 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Smooth Application, Pleasing Color, Easy CleanUp I’m a bit embarrassed to say that I’ve had this paint sitting at home for quite some time, with great intentions to use it when I first got it, but not getting to this job until now. I share this because I was half expecting the contents to be spoiled in some way, but to the contrary the contents looked like they just came off the assembly line, smooth and creamy and the color mixed together very nicely with just 30 seconds of moderate stirring. Although I am not suggesting it’s wise to buy paint so far in advance, my instinct says the product is made of quality ingredients, although reading the reviews posted by others I suppose it’s hard to say. My paint project was a side-entry unpainted concrete slab that gets little traffic but is visible from the street. I first pressure washed the surface, then applied the epoxy primer, which went on very easily with a small roller and brush and dried clear (see pictures). I allowed the epoxy coat to dry a full day before applying the paint, which also went on very smoothly with a small roller and brush, and it seemed to offer very good coverage (I estimate I used only 4 - 6 oz to paint the 3’ x 4’ area). The surface of the slab was fairly smooth, with an occasional small hole or pockmark. The end result was very nice (see picture), and although I noticed a little streaking which I am confident would be eliminated with a second coat, I chose not to apply another coat now. The product label implies that often one coat is sufficient, but in any event not to apply more than 2 coats. Being an oil-based product, paint thinner (or equivalent) is needed for cleanup. I used a disposable roller cover, and cleaned my brush with thinner, a pretty easy task. Only time will tell how well the paint will hold up, as it will be exposed to a lot of sun, daily irrigation system water, dust and humidity. However my initial impression based upon this specific application is excellent. April 24, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Extremely unsatisfied with the results! Painted my garage floor, following the instructions, and the product did not uphold to the claims. Experienced hot tire pick up the very first time we parked back in the garage after waiting 10 days after the floor was painted! Even my dogs toenails picked the paint, not from "digging" at the paint but just where she sleeps. I will look for another product to use. I would not suggest this product for potential customers and will probably not consider Behr products for any of my painting needs in the future. September 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product, Good color. I used this paint on the concrete floor of my sun porch. It went on smoothly over primed floor and after only two coats we had a good covering. The color is good. September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this paint! When a paint goes on as smoothly as this, it's a real treat! Made the project really pleasant to take on, and the end result was pretty impressive. It's only been a month or so, but so far, it's holding up beautifully. I used it both indoors and out on an upper deck that gets a lot of sun and weather (on the outside). Color is also very rich. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This works great! If you are looking for a concrete floor paint that is easy to apply and holds up, this is the one for you. Painting the basement or garage floor gives your home a clean, high-end look and this epoxy paint really adheres without flaking or peeling. Follow the instructions and prep the floor as directed and you will see a beautiful result when you are finished. Follow our advice and get all of your tools when you purchase the paint (brush, rollers, etc). April 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Finish If Prep Work Done Correctly Behr makes great products and the epoxy floor paint is no exception. As with all cement sealing/staining projects, proper preparation is necessary to ensure proper adhesion. The professionals will sweep, power wash, sand, re-wash, rinse, acid wash, rinse, and THEN apply epoxy. For me, a DIYer, I sweep, power wash with the strongest pressure on my hose, scrub with my orbital machine and brush, rewash and rinse, acid wash, rinse, and when dry at the right temps, apply the epoxy. Then it's time to let it cure before driving/walking/placing items on it. The prep work is intensive, but it will pay off in the end! Don't take shortcuts and you'll be happy with the result.
