Hi Garr,
Yes, our Semi-Transparent Weatherproofing Wood Stain & Sealer can be applied to treated lumber. We recommend allowing the wood to dry out for at least 6-8 weeks before applying the stain. IMPORTANT: There are three products made by the same company one with a 6/8 year warranty (red label Model # 553301) and the others a 10/25 year warranty (green label Model # 5053301) and a base (green label Model # 501301 and must be mixed in store to specified color.) They cost the same, have the same instructions on the label including dry time and are not the same quality. I have used both the 6/8 year and the 10/25 base. The reviews are accurate, you can find them here: http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&keyword=BEHR+Premium%201-gal.%20Cedar&Ns=None&Ntpr=1&Ntpc=1&selectedCatgry=SearchAll
ADVICE: Spend no more money and get a much better product with the 10/25 year just tell them you want the same color as the 6/8 year Cedar Naturaltone. For me, the 6/8 year applied last year lasted less than a year. This year I discovered the info above after applying two coats to one deck and needed more for the second deck. I will say it was much easier to apply the base and it looked much nicer. I do not know how long it will last.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by garbage product. buying this will cost you 3 times as much in a year or two just to get it off I listened to the sales rep, then followed all of the instructions and had my deck completely prepped and ready to coat with what i thought was a premium product. What a waste of money and time. It is supposed to have a six year guarantee, it didn't even last a year before it started peeling. It seriously peels like 30 year old paint. Now i have to spend more money and time just to get it off. And the guarantee is worthless without original receipt. Who keeps a receipt for 2 years for a $40 can of deck stain? Either stand behind your product or don't. August 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by HATE IT! I hate this product!- Let me start off by saying this is not the first time I have stained my deck ( see picture) I prepped my deck with the Behr cleaner, and used a power washer, even though my pressure treated wood is only 3 years old. I used the semi transparent cedar tone- goes on red! I hate the color red!! Also, went on very streaky, my deck looks horrible!! I listened to the Behr sales rep in the store, what a mistake to take his recommendation!! Now after reading all of the reviews, Im worried about it peeling off like paint !! Do your self a huge favor, and stay away! Im seriously thinking about hiring a professional to strip and restain!! What a waste of money and time (5 hours powerwashing, and 7 hours staining) April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great results with this stain weatherproofing stain was easy to apply and dried quickly - finished product turned out as planed. May 24, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Behr Last year it started to go down with another color result. This year it did the same thing. I got a mess left behind trying to get my color desired on my deck. For years I would put down the Behr cedar color that on my old redwood deck would turn out looking like a beautiful brandy looking color but then it started going down and staying a cedar color. Now you might say that is what it is suppose to do but making the change over leaves my deck looking terrible. Oh, at 7,600 ft elevation south facing the Behr and all the other deck stains last 1-2 years and not the 6-8 years stated on the can. That is ok and just part of living in high clear air facing the south. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product I bought this for my new deck, and I'm so glad I did. It looks awesome! It turned out better than I expected. You can't go wrong with any Behr paints or stains. It's great quality. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 2 Years Later - with pictures Let me describe the picture first - in the back/top of the picture you can see my neighbors house. Both fences were built 15 years ago and you can see where my neighbors fence is gray. Mine is the more attractive fence. I did the stain work 2 years ago, but took this picture just last week (still looks great). I think the pictures says all that needs to be said. Process - I power washed the fence first bringing back the natural, yellow pine color. This step made the fence look new again, but I knew within a year it would gray again so I researched stains and chose this product. If you notice I give only 4 bars on value as this product does not get the coverage advertised. The manufacture might blame the age of my wood and state how dry (thirsty) it was and how is absorbed too much stain. I went to a competitors hardware store and bought a power sprayer for $25 that I intended on throwing away because it is cheap and never cleans up well. So I sprayed in on thick and had a teenage son follow behind with a 4" brush, sloshing the stain into every crack. I used 7 gallons on 350 linear feet of fence. It took about 4 hours (we were sloppy). You won't be disappointed with this product. April 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful product! this stain, which is semi-transparent is wonderful for older wood. It brings it to life and protects in a wonderful manner. July 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Peeling off I expected much better from Behr. We put this on a cedar deck 2 years ago. Last summer it started peeling off in a few places. I didn't think it was a big deal, but by this summer, half of it has peeled off the stairs, and about 1/4 has peeled off the main deck surface. We applied 2 coats, 1 day apart. What a huge waste of time and money. July 25, 2016
