Hello jim,
We appreciate your question. Actually, none of our products are made to be applied under an installation of tiles or other flooring/wall materials. Our bonding primer is meant for bare concrete but only when a topcoat of floor paint or stain will go over it, as it promotes its adhesion. Hello segwes,
Thanks for your question. Behr's bonding primer is only meant for bare concrete surfaces. It can be topcoated with water-based paints or stains, so you might want to check with the manufacturer of this other brand or Home Depot to get the go-ahead on it.

Hello AC,
Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, I'm unable to see any picture that may have been attached. Coarseness of concrete can mean that it's got enough surface porosity to allow for adhesion of our coatings. If it feels like 150 grit sandpaper, then you can skip the etching step and just clean off the surface with a concrete cleaner & degreaser followed by priming.

Answer:
Hello JC,
Thanks for your question. This bonding primer of ours is required if you'll be staining with our Solid Color Concrete Stain, but it's only required for the Semi-Transparent Concrete Stain if that's going to be applied to a surface that will be driven on. Please be sure to follow all other label instructions for best results.
Best wishes for your project!

Answer:
This is a non-porous coating. I do not think a stain would work well over it.
What it does provide is a great base for house paint. Use any good exterior paint in any color you like on top of this base/primer.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love it! Primer works great on my driveway. Hand painted the tree of life over it in their concrete paint in black. January 27, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Just ok I used this on several garage floors and as a handyman and Realtor I only use this after I acid wash garage floors before I put epoxy on them. I use this with garage and concrete patios when I or a client is going to sell a home. It doe sent seem to hold floor epoxy down too well. But it does a good enough job for the price to pretty up a place for sale as long as nobody drives or drags metal furniture on it! I prefer the primer called Triple Thick for garage floors and patios! It holds good and allow the epoxy to flex a bit like rubber and doesn't scratch easily.... Just acid wash/ etch first and allow it and the epoxy to dry well before dragging stuff on it! October 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product was so easy to apply. After removing a buildup of linoleum and tile from my patio, to find that we also had to scrape off glue in order to have a clean surface to apply Behrs primer and paint. I was amazed to find how easily it was to apply, how fast drying it was and how beautiful the end result was. June 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The product has durability and it;s easy to apply. Painted a sidewalk as test. For over a months it was still like new. I have used it in the garage also. It is easy to apply, dries fast and looks beautiful. I used color Tan. February 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Concrete Bonding Primer Awesome Concrete Bonding Primer. I was really surprised to how watering this boning primer looked when first opened. One hour later. After Appling to my concrete basement floor. It work very well. I'd had prep earlier scape that old chip paint, sweep and mop couples of times. October 27, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by "Not for vertical surfaces" I'm painting my exterior foundation walls, which are unfinished concrete. I brought this home and almost opened it before I saw one place on the label where it said that it is not for use on vertical surfaces. It is for floors, only. I want to mention this to all readers, so I submit this note. So, I called the paint dept. Danny apologized and recommended Zinsser 1-2-3. That seems appropriate for this application. (A rating is required in order to post a note here. I did not actually use it, so I picked a rating near the average of what everyone else rated this product.) April 16, 2015
