I bought this to stain our exterior basement walls which are concrete blocks coated with a layer of plaster "mud" which is basically concrete stucco. While the stucco helped to cover up the concrete block, there were so many discolorations across the surface of the stucco that it just didn't look good (see before and after pics attached). So I bought both the Behr Concrete Bonding Primer No. 880 and applied one coat of it, then waited about 18 hours and applied the stain. To give some contrast to our house, I opted to do a computerized color-matching of one of the samples in the store...slate gray #6695. The result is absolutely amazing! This really goes well with our gray siding and black/gray shingles. The stain went on well and we only needed one gallon. I highly recommend!

This completely transformed the appearance of our driveway. It covered up discolored and old concrete, making it look brand new. It definitely refreshed the look of our home. I would highly recommend this product for new and old concrete. We had an area of older concrete on the driveway that fed into newer concrete. After applying the stain they look uniform. We used the Santa Fe color and it was very rich and vibrant. Also, clean up and application was very easy.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DavidGojira Not a true stain. It is really a paint....
It was easy to apply. However, it is not a true stain. A stain does just that...stains, or is absorbed, into the surface you are staining. Paint, such as this product, just covers the surface. And how do i know that? After my full third day, I hosed down the surface with regular hose flow. I did not power wash. And to my dismay, a small 2" x 2" area came off. My concrete has never been painted and is 17 years cured. This product, because it is already peeling, seems ok for a patio or sidewalk. And because of that, I rated it fair. But not convinced for a driveway.
I hate to think what is going to happen when I roll my truck through it in two weeks. I want a product that works relatively quick. This product has too much wait time.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lucky7 CONCRETE STAIN LOOKS GREAT ON PATIO AND WITH LESS SUN GLARE.
I applied the Behr Concrete Primer #880 first then applied this Behr Concrete Stain tint base white #800 on my 2 patios. The job was easy and painless. I used paint pads on extensions for both. It's been 2 months and the adhesion of the stain looks good and the color looks great. Job Background: the covered patio is 38 years old and the uncovered patio is 4 years old. Neither was discolored by old stains.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bill Excellent Product
Excellent outcome in staining 250 sq. ft. bare concrete patio. Overall application and coverage was excellent, applied color is true to Behr brochure color sample chip. Longevity/durability of the stained surface is unknown as I just completed the project. Be certain to DO PROPER PREPARATION:
I used both Behr 'cleaner/etcher' and 'clear bonding' agent prior to applying the colored stain - don't bypass these steps, preparation is the KEY to a successful outcome. Using both of these prep; products is relatively inexpensive and easy to do.
Color: Note, Home Depot cannot 'custom tint' this stain - you need to select a color from Behr's standard color chart in the literature. Also, you cannot buy the small 8 oz. sample jars - only Quarts are available.....be certain of your color before purchasing.
Coverage: I applied "Light Rattan", it's both neutral and a relatively light color - required 2 coats to achieve complete 'solid color' coverage.
This is an excellent product, but the term 'stain' is in my mind a misnomer here - you are really applying a specially developed type of paint product to a somewhat 'sealed' surface (if you use the bonding primer). My guess is this product will work well for my moderate foot traveled patio....I'm not sure I'd want to rely on a product like this for a heavy use area or for a garage floor, etc.
Before/After pic's to follow shortly.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Craig Excellent Coverage on Textured Pool Deck
Used to restore a texture pool deck, chose a darker shade around hot tub and a complimentary light color on the rest. Never thought we could do less then pavers or full resurfacing .. pressure washed, used the concrete crack filler on the surface cracks and then double coated the entire deck. Will let you know how it stands up but makes the deck look like new and much better and way cheaper then pavers. Highly recommended and available in every color that u can paint in.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bill Great performance after 10 years!
This concrete stain is a great product, but it must be used properly.
I used one coat of this stain on four new concrete benches about ten years ago. Over that time the only chipping occurred along the edges where the concrete (not the stain) had chipped off. I recently put four coats of this stain on the (50 year-old) concrete landing and steps that lead up to my front door. They are now for all practical purposes waterproof. (Stain will not prevent moisture from migrating up through concrete that is in contact with the ground.)
Prior to applying the stain, you will need to power wash the concrete to remove any dirt and algae. In addition, new concrete must be several months old. New concrete or smooth old concrete should be power-washed and etched with a solution of muriatic acid to open the pores in the concrete. This is a stain (not paint) and it will soak into properly prepared concrete.
As other negative reviews indicate, I would never use concrete stain of any kind on driveways or garage floors.
